I am blown away every time I see these guys bouncing around on the moon surface - amazing!

So it looks like the Astronauts were thinking of home or being inspired by the immensity of Space and needing Classical music.

I love Classical music. I also love the Space program, could watch each launch from my house. I can understand the need for relaxing music for long duration flights, Classical and good movie scores are loaded on both my car and truck.

At a time when Rock and Roll was at its apex, when great bands were singing the anthems that even today's youth recognize and know, this list is pitiful. There are a few lesser bands on the list, but the best known rockers are the Doors and Elvis Presley. No Beatles, no Stones, no Yardbirds or Clapton, no Jefferson Springfield, etc... Lots of classical music, show tunes, and some Frank Sinatra for good measure. I guess its safe to safe that astronauts may be cool, but they are not hip!

It's a drag to have to click for 56 slides. A list would be nice.
