    U-H Alum,
From the last interview with your new financial guru A. D. It seems that after crunching the numbers he has come to the conclusion that scheduling BYU makes good business sense!

Kind of sounds like ute nation is all about BYU football.

    NV,
Mad props and much respect for your military service! My thoughts on why the two newcomers will help the younger players have a better season are 1) having the two older RB will remove some of the burdens of carrying the offensive load from the Soph. Less carries means less wear and tear on the kid coming back from injury. 2) Rotating the backs means fresher legs at the end of games. 3) hopefully the injury bug will miss the BYU backfield, this year! BTW, who is the Utes back up to Moss? Didn't the most experienced backup transfer to another school?

There he is...thought maybe he'd slept in lol.

...And quoting Y fans who have made outlandish statements, and applying them to all Y fans, that's a good one...definitely one of his classic, if not transparent, tactics.

Although, I have to say, my favorite is his affinity for constantly quoting one of Mendenhall's many doltish statements and thinking Y fans are offended by "mendenmidmajor's" opinion. Classic- making fun of a guy using an unimaginative pseudonym while clinging to his words when they confirm your fantasies. Ah, it doesn't get better than this.

Our favorite fan everyone...give it up for Blue Navel!

You’re welcome CougsnTeamB! We of Ute Nation will continue to show our support of your program by exposing the dubious claims to all out lies of cougar nation.

When Y fans want to invent high Nielsen Ratings for their teams, Ute Nation will show our support by posting the REAL numbers, which would be low. You're welcome.

When Y fans want to invent $10-15 million ESPN contract payouts, Ute Nation will show our support by quoting ESPN themselves, stating they only give you $4 million. You're welcome.

When Y fans want to claim the caliber of their degrees to be on par with the Ivy League's, Ute Nation will show our support by pointing out how the 3 most most-widely read university rankings in the world don't even put them on par with the Univ. of Utah. You're welcome.

When Y fans want to claim that their fans crush the gates at all their roadies, Ute Nation will show our support contrarily by pointing out the exact number of fans who'd actually attended, and then follow that up by exposing your inability to even crush the gates at LES. Or at least in games where Utah doesn't play in. You are SO welcome!

How lucky you all are to have such awesome big brothers!

When buy hot dogs at a stadium, do you usually add relish ?

    See, normal conversation.

And I'm relishing it right now.

First of all, welcome to the Cougs, T-dub...looking forward to seeing what you can do this year.

Second of all, I'd like to thank Blue Navel, for his obsessive support for all things BYU, and dressing in blue and white jammies every night before his mom tucks him under his Y embroidered comforter. Rest well dear brother, we need U up early rousting the Cougar faithful. Lol

I "relish" in Riverton, Utah. Do you feel better now?

Can everyone stop saying the word "relish" it is like fingers on a chalk board every time I read it. One of those words that nobody uses in normal conversation but always gets plugged into sports articles.

"I hope Utah players think they are as good as their mooney fans think they are.

BYU wins this one this year if they do.

Utah, Tennessee, USC, Washington, Boise, USU is a tough schedule. I think BYU goes 4-2 against this schedule and maybe drops one more"
    = = = = =
You're being sarcastic right? I see the Y going 1-5 at best and probably 0-6.

Well, there are a couple of ways Lopini can have his best year yet. One way is if that year is next year :-) Another is if these two new older running backs get injured in these games against Utah, Tennessee, USC, Washington, Boise, and USU and Lopini runs for 150 a game against the cupcakes in the back half of the schedule. And last, but least likely, is if he manages to beat them out, become the featured back, and not get injured against Utah, Tennessee, USC, Washington, Boise, and USU.

“They’re guys who aren’t going to come in and mess up the culture we’ve established here.---AJ Steward

    Meaning?

Coach Seward should really learn to use his words more carefully.

    Michigan Cougsfan68:

"So, your telling us that none of the older Ute players help, support and mentor the younger players?"

What does this situation have anything to do with what Utah is doing? What underclassman starter will be pushed down to 3rd team by arrivals of two more talented Seniors? I know what "depth" is. It's something we have a lot more of than you. You should try re-reading my comment for content little bro. And in case you STILL can't comprehend it, I'm basically saying that AJ Steward is wrong! If Katoa drops to 3rd team, it will NOT be his "best year" yet, and neither will he "like it".

    NV,
I believe it is called having depth at the position and being good teammates! So, your telling us that none of the older Ute players help, support and mentor the younger players?

I like this Williams kid. He is a handsome young man and I am sure that he will rush for a lot of yards and score a bunch of touchdowns regardless of the beard and hair.

"He likes having two guys older and more experienced than him to now learn from." -- RB coach, AJ Steward

Yeah, right. Katoa must be super stoked about dropping down to 3rd on the depth chart behind those two more talented RBs.

"It’s not something [Katoa]’s had a lot of and I think it’s really going to help raise his game. I think we’ll definitely see Lopini have the best year he’s had as a result." -- RB coach, AJ Steward

First of all, coaching up is YOUR job AJ; not the job of the Rice and South Carolina graduate transfers'. Second, how will Katoa have his best year yet, if he winds up 3rd on the depth chart?
