    Iran will not risk war.

    Tension is not needed.

Trump is busily damaging America's strength and authority in the world. By pulling out of the Iran Deal, Trump most likely set in motion a series of disasters for America that haven't even really begun yet.

Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin is glowing with pride. Putin knows he bet on the right horse. Republican leadership almost inevitably damages America, but Trump has taken that phenomenon to a whole new level.

America is no longer trusted by the international community, and for good reason. Donald Trump and his Republican government is absolutely unworthy of trust. Our allies don't believe America anymore. Why should they. Trump has already lied over 10 thousand times to the American people. Why would he be more honest with our traditional allies?

wgirl: “Trump got us into this mess. He has no idea how to fix it.”

This is not us mess for us. It’s a mess for Iran. The mess Trump got Iran into is their economy is in a death spiral. They have had to pull back on all of their terrorist and hegemonic activities in the region. They no longer charge our Navy ships with fast attack craft, buzz fighter jets with drones, or shine lasers at helicopters operating at sea. And they wouldn’t even dream of capturing our Navy boats and broadcasting footage of our crying sailors in Iranian detention. We won’t be shipping pallets of American dollars to them to get any captives back. Instead of taunting us with “death to America” and “wipe the Great Satan off the map,” they have struck a careful, reserved, more cautious tone.

This is the worst mess Iran has been in since 1979 and the best position we have been over that same time period. They are completely boxed in. Trump has managed to align everyone in the Middle East against them. Iran abandoning the JCPoA means Europe will now align against them too. And then there is Israel waiting in the wings, ready and eager to hit them, if they actually do start enriching Uranium.

Anyone who thinks that this is a result of President Trump pulling out of the Iran agreement just has not studied the history of Iran over the past 40 years. This is a fanatical religious country bent on promoting death and destruction to anyone who is not of their idealogic and religious persuasion.

The Obama-Iran deal just helped Iran pursue its goals faster, including a nuclear state.

They were chanting "death to America" before, during and after that agreement. Just open your eyes. It is not that hard to check the facts.

    FT
some are your facts presented in a manner that is misleading. You are not as bad as AOC lenin in painting the worst picture possible – the way she twists things is akin to saying the only reason Britain joined WWII was so they could firebomb Dresden – but you are getting close

Before I point out the problems with your comment, thank you for admitting the deal did not stop iran’s nuclear ambitions

Others are being forced to comply – it’s putting the intended severe pressure on the mullahs

new currency? It’s just another payment system. They could easily switch to the Euro if all they needed was another currency

Rogue actions of the trump administration? I don’t see exiting a bad deal that lacked senate approval as rogue. BO not submitting the deal or the Paris Accords to the senate, his world-wide apology tour, assassinations of US citizens without trial, etc., were rogue actions

world does not trust us. How does a non-existent red line in the sand engender trust? No government should fully trust another

    Respect?
    •Red line in the sand
•Stop buying Iranian oil or face sanctions yourself

Which was more effective? Respect comes when they know you will follow through

    Fact:
1)The multi national Iran deal took years to negotiate and all parties were complying with the agreement.
2)If not broken the deal would have kept nuclear weapon production from happening in Iran for a decade.
3)The US did not pay any money to Iran for the agreement, but did return money that was detained during the Iranian hostage crisis in the early 80's.
4)The Trump administration broke the agreement over the objections of our allies and multitudes of US Senators and foreign policy advisors.
5)The Europeans, Chinese and Russians are distancing themselves from the US on the Trump's decision and are being forced to comply with the sanctions we imposed.
    6) The imposed sanctions have led our allies to start the work on another internationally exchanged currency instead of the dollar due to the rogue actions of the Trump administration. If successful this will have dramatic economic consequences for America.
    7) The rest of the world does not trust or respect Trump or his administration, reducing our influence on this issue and others.

Surprised to see the AP actually reported that Iran has a history of laying mines. Takes a little of their designed negativity off trump.

Why do the mullahs need the extra enriched uranium? It’s clear their end goal is to have nuclear weapons. BO’s bad deal did not stop that goal, it only delayed its open pursuit.

There is no pressure on the Europeans, there is no pressure on the US. The pressure is on the mullahs. What is wrong with requiring them to join the civilized world?

    wgirl
America never made the promise, BO did. Ever hear of the constitution? It requires senate confirmation for such deals, confirmation BO never even sought. For America to have made the promise, the senate would have had to ratify it.

If the Europeans want to align themselves with Iran, you have to wonder about the wisdom of their leaders. What do they get out of it?

    @wgirl
You're 100% right and it actually gets worse. The Europeans are working on supplementing the dollar with another international currency. The Trump administration is using the good capital past administrations have built for a fools errand. Other allies don't want to held hostage to our international policies so they are working hard to detach themselves from our monetary system. Trump has soiled our reputation and trust and Americans will have to pick up 100% of the bill of his arrogant foolishness.
Meanwhile, we're sending more troops to the Middle East. We've seen this movie before and it has many of the same actors but this time with a leading man that the rest of the civilized world despises.

Iran is the one reneging on the nuclear treaty they made with different countries. The US is just one of several countries to have signed the nuclear deal.

The real dishonest Iran is being exposed for what they are.

This is the kind of thing that has worried many Americans.

Trump should not have reneged on an American promise - he should not have broken the deal with Iran. If he didn't think the deal was good enough, he should have kept what we had, and brokered his own additional deal. But instead, he did great harm to our reputation by breaking the deal, he angered and frustrated our allies, and he gave Iran an excuse to do just this kind of thing. All those things their leaders say about us? Trump proved them right. He made reasonable, moderate Iranians that went out on a limb and encouraged cooperation with us look stupid.

Our allies don't trust us. They don't believe what the U.S. is telling them. Why? When the President of the U.S. gets up on the world stage in Helsinki and says he doesn't believe our intelligence agencies - he believes Putin - he destroys their reputation around the world. He refuses to believe what they say about Russian interfering in our 2016 election. He calls them bad cops and denigrates their leaders on Twitter. Why would Japan have faith in our intelligence agencies if our own President doesn't?

Trump got us into this mess. He has no idea how to fix it.
