"A team of bitter anti-Trumpers put together a four hundred page report over a period of two years and some folks take it as total truth. Crazy!"

Your only source that the investigators were a " team of bitter anti-Trumpers" is Donald Trump and wingnut media. Dependence on Fox News for you information is detrimental to your perception of reality.

As for "[taking] it as total truth", there is evidence provided to guide people in making decisions. Also, there is even more underlying evidence that AG Bill Barr and the DOJ suppressed. If you want to believe whatever you want, OK. But at least get the facts right on the subject.

Personal attacks don't enhance your message of denial. If you have something substantial to say, people will listen. But attacking the investigators will lead nowhere as they are highly reputable people put together by a man who is without stain in his reputation of being honest, fair, and uncorrectable.

By the way, did you read the Mueller Report in its entirety? Perhaps if you did, you might find it enlightening. Those who have recognize it as a significant piece of work, a literal indictment of Donald Trump.

"Democrats don't care for truth, otherwise they would have never started an "investigation" based on a known fake Russian dossier."

    READ THE MUELLER REPORT.

If you took the time to read the report, you would learn why the FBI appointed a special counsel to investigate Russian interference into the 2016 election. The Steel dossier came later and was not any factor in the initiation of FBI surveillance into Trump associates connected with Russia.

If you reject the findings of Robert Mueller as stated in the first sentence of the report, then say so. Don't try to distract with some bogus claim. You either acknowledge that Russia interfered or it didn't. What's your position? Then tell us if you think an investigation into it was justified. Simple.

"Some folks place total trust in: . . . "

You might want to tell us why you say this and what you base it on. Other than just another partisan diatribe, you need to put a little meat in the sandwich.

And where do you put your trust? Where do you get your information? How far to the Right do you stand as your comments have always suggested an extreme Right-ward position?

Perhaps that is what we all would like to know. What is your primary source of information since you disparage the primary news sources considered the newspapers of record: NY Times, WaPost, WSJ, and LA Times?

"I have forever tried to avoid calling this a witch-hunt. After reading this article, I can’t think of a better term."

For now, you don't need to read the entire Mueller Report. That is a lot to digest and you might want to wait for the Reader's Digest version. Hopefully, AG Bill Barr won't be involved in writing it, but I digress.

What you need to do is read the summaries at the beginning of each section, particularly where Robert Mueller talks about the multi-dimensional Russians attack on our election system.

The investigation into that is the "witch hunt" that Donald Trump complains about. To acknowledge that Russia tried to help him win the 2016 election is to accept that his election was tainted Russia trolls, bots, theft of private property and subterfuge to assist the Trump campaign in the election.

We may never know how significant the Russian attack was, but it did exist and the votes in three critical states could have easily swung the other way had the it not occurred and voter suppression efforts had not reduced turn-out among Democratic voters in 2016.

As for obstruction, you might need to read more.

"Some commenters on here claimed that the Mueller report contains evidence of President Trump's wrongdoing. But they never tell us what that evidence is! "

Do you really want someone to copy and paste excerpts from Section II of the Mueller Report? Maybe you don't want to read it, but one primary example is when Donald Trump ordered the White House counsel, Don McGahn, to talk to AG Jeff Sessions and tell him to end the Mueller investigation.

Then there was his demand for Cory Lewandowski, who wasn't part of the White House staff to deliver a message to Sessions to give a speech defending Trump and have him get tell Mueller to "limit the special counsel's investigation to future election interference."

Trump always requested others to do his dirty work, so we have two instances of obstruction, clearly testified to by both McGahn and Lewandowski. That's two examples. There are eight others in the report. Your refusal to acknowledge what is right in front of your nose is embarrassing.

Either read the report or get out of the conversation. Pushing Trump's case only gets you further into trouble dealing with the facts. Your choice.

Why do you speculate based on radio here say that it is a biased report, nothing has been found to be false or dishonest in or about the report.

worf said: "He and his team of investigators are all anti Trumpers wanting him out of office."
Absolute False statement, but DNews is very lenient with worf, for some reason?

worf said: "They just couldn't find collusion or obstruction, but it doesn't mean they didn't put as much rubbish as possible into it."

They weren't looking for collusion, as it is not a crime, for some reason you keep repeating it, it's almost like you have no idea what's in the report, none at all.

Obstruction, well Mueller outlines over 10 instances that a majority of lawyers in America say rise to the level of obstruction, but that a special "rule" protects Trump from indictment. Also see unindicted co-conspirator individual 1, and wonder in your alternate reality who that could be?

It's kinda sad that these things have to be repeated because Trumplican refuse to face reality and read thee report.

"Democrats need to learn the difference between opinion and evidence!"

This is a classic. Given how Right Wing Media outlets put out debunked conspiracy theories (PizzaGate!), this is hard to stomach. Rather, this comments yet again the projection that Republicans make on Democrats. It is the Republicans that can't see how much fact out there disproves their faith in the President, that shows Trump eschews truth as does Dracula avoid garlic and believe that their political opposites do as they do (fail to discern opinion from fact).

"They just couldn't find collusion or obstruction"

Another gem of Trump apologists. Speak a little truth, then swamp that truth with a bald faced untruth. Collusion is not a legal term, and the Mueller report found no "illegal" actions by the Trump campaign's curious engagement with Russian spies. However, Mueller's report details cases of obstruction that should be investigated further. Mueller, ever the good soldier and Republican, weaseled his way out of an obstruction charge based on the Justice Department guideline (not a law) that a President can not be indicted. He "referred" the obstruction charges to the House for impeachment.

The Democrats should cut bait and run and get back to worrying about legislation they should be considering and not the dead horse they are still beating in regards to Trump.

I hope that at some point, some Democrat loses the popular vote while winning the electoral vote, then the Republicans can spend four years undercutting that president with unwarranted investigations. Won't happen, but we can hope.

Donald J. Trump and 18 of his associates had at least 140 contacts with Russian nationals during the 2016 campaign and presidential transition, according to a New York Times analysis.

The Mueller Report revealed at least 30 more contacts beyond those previously known.

Among the contacts are in-person meetings, phone calls, text messages, emails and private messages on social media platforms.

Aras Agalarov, a Russian billionaire who hosted a Miss Universe pageant with Mr. Trump in Moscow, and the billionaire’s son, Emin, reached out to Mr. Trump several times. (Separately, both men helped arrange the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting to get damaging information about Hillary Clinton.)

Mr. Trump was also pursuing a plan to build a Trump Tower in Moscow and was repeatedly invited to an economic forum in St. Petersburg, Russia, that would be attended by President Vladimir V. Putin.

Why would Trump be in contact with Russians?

(Hillary had zero contact with Russia.)

This article has a "spin" in the title. It says Democrats begin "public airing of Mueller report".
But the Mueller report has been publicly available for download for weeks now. I know because I downloaded it and read it.
What is really happening is that the Democrats are beginning a "public spinning and taking quotes out of context" campaign.
    Extracted directly from the Report:
The investigation did not establish any agreement among Campaign officials or between such officials and Russia-linked individuals-to interfere with or obstruct a lawful function of a government agency during the campaign or transition period. And, as discussed in Volume I, Section V.A, supra, the investigation did not identify evidence that any Campaign official or associate knowingly and intentionally participated in the conspiracy to defraud that the Office charged, namely, the active-measures conspiracy described in Volume I, Section II, supra. Accordingly, the Office did not charge any Campaign associate or other U.S. person with conspiracy to defraud the United States based on the Russia-related contacts described in Section IV above.

And high school, most Americans still believe in honesty, morality , and decency and do not support Trump's actions. His dishonesty, his mockery and his illigal behaviors are not accepted by decent thinking citizens.

Also, Americans enjoyed an amazing economy under President Obama. In fact we did better in the stock market for the same period of time. Much better return under President Obama.

Yes, honest people still do care. Maybe you don't, but most real patriotic Americans do!

It appears that to get people to read the Mueller Report, we need to have it written more for the people who have difficulty plowing through a 448 page tome that is filled with legalese and argument and simplify it for everyone. This could be done with a hearing and having Robert Mueller testifying for an entire week, but that might not even reach the typical Trumpie who refuses to believe anything critical of Donald Trump and hold his/her attention.

What we need is a graphic novel (comic book, if you will) designed for adults like the Manga so favored by the Japanese. We will have drawings of the various characters speaking the words they actually are recorded saying in the Mueller Report but the combination of words and graphic depictions of witnesses should grab the reader's attention.

Just consider, Trump, his face contorted in rage ordering the presidential attorney to go tell Attorney General Jeff Sessions to shut down the Mueller investigation. A series of frames visualizing the event will be much more powerful than the black words on a white page. Think about the exaggerated, cartoon-like characters with the real words appearing in bubble-form over . . . [more]

    2 of 2 [continued]

. . . their heads taking us through the investigation? It would make the entire report come alive for the reader with both entertainment and informational value.

Perhaps a better way to convey the message might be an animated feature, but that would require more effort although it surely would capture the average Trumpie's attention being both active with a "who-done-it" plot and characters in motion coupled with the information that might easily be ignored by a unwilling reader.

Both would be far more powerful than the actual report that even Republican congresspeople are reported not to have read. As Justin Amash, (R, MI) noted, if Republicans read the report and refused to depend on AG William Barr's misrepresentation, they would have no other option than to recommend impeachment. It's a no brainer, but it requires reading the entire report.

It should also be noted that if the Mueller Report was converted over to a graphic novel format (even better, an animated feature), Trump may be induced to read/see it and have a better understanding about how much more is know about conspiracy (insufficient evidence where much more is exists) and obstruction.

I don’t feel I have a choice any more between Republicans or Democrats. The democratic leadership has destroyed all confidence that they really want to work within the system created by then founding fathers of our country. Isn't out of order for the President to engage in personality assassinations against those who criticize him? Isn't it out of order for the President to lead "lock her up" chants aimed at Mrs Clinton? Isn't it out of order for the President to express his completely disproven "opinion" that the Press lies about him?

I am all for disciplined and measured criticism of any public official. However, the true perpetrator of "out of order" behavior is the President himself. The GOP defenders need to address that first.
