So both BYU teams finished in the Top 25,Men #8Women #25while Utah didn’t score a single point, yet, according
to our angst-filled, jealous little friend on his molehill, BYU is
the program that isn’t in the “game”.LOL 😂
Utah-Hawaii Alum“No matter what Y fans say...........they
simply aren't in the "game" in athletics...”It’s stupefyingly amazing how ridiculous that claim is posted on an article about BYU finishing 8th in the NCAA T&F National
Championship meet, especially coming a clueless Ute whose school is
too cheap to even sponsor a Men’s T&F team.No matter what
U fans say......Utah is the poster child for a program that isn’t even in
Utah Hawaii alum is on a roll.Calm down there my friend. You are about to
burst a vein.
Utah-Hawaii Alum"Go play a round of golf in high humidity/heat
pal......ya feel it HUGE!"yawnGolfers couldn't
keep up with those 10,000 meter runners for a single lap...and
that's an absolute FACT!Unlike many golfers, you will NEVER see
an obese distance runner.
Utah-hawaii alum,Just wonder how it feels to be owned by a team from an
irrelevant conference over the past 20 games?I guess that says it
all about your mighty utes and the pathetic 12.
@ daver,Emaciated thin guys never do well in humid weather. Go play
a round of golf in high humidity/heat pal......ya feel it HUGE!
ut-HAWFor delusional fan brushing sparse crumbs of self-professed
success...see mirror!Y > u
Very unfortunate how the weather favored sprint-heavy rosters.
I knew it was going to be tough for Clayton Young and Connor Mantz to make a
podium finish in the 5K. A 10K in the heat and humidity of Texas takes a lot
out of a runner. They did beat a lot of runners who had fresh legs though. I
was surprised that Northern Arizona did not make a better showing considering
that they won the XC national championship. The fact that BYU only had two
qualifiers in the 5K with their pool of talent is indicative of how competitive
the 5K field was even though the times were not particularly fast due to the
No matter how far our BYU-obsessed little brothers sink into denial
.........their inferior athletic program simply isn’t capable of
challenging BYU’s overall supremacy.BYU just added two more
Top 25 finishes to an already dominating lead, while the Utes sat helplessly at
home as non-participants.
Great showing Cougars! We appreciate our Utah neighbors for showing up to
comment. We know you love us.
No matter what Y fans say...........they simply aren't in the
"game" in athletics or academics. They are a member of the WCC is all.
And, the only known school in that irrelevant conference is Gonzaga. Y fans have
to accepts facts at some point...........that "fact" is nobody will take
BYu due to behavior alone.Brushing sparse crumbs of self-professed
success falls upon deaf ears these days BYu. And, their owners so know it!!!!!
Utah fans constantly - brag about being in a P5 conference,- brag about Utah’s great success in a coed sport in which only ONE
other P5 competes,but- mock BYU for finishing 8th and
25th in a sport in which the Cougars competed against more than FIFTY P5sThe hypocrisy on the hill is utterly absurd!
Congratulations to both the Men’s and Women’s BYU Track & Field
Top 25 teams.Men BYU #8USU #40SUU #45(highest P12 was Oregon #12)WomenBYU #25USU and WSU
had athletes that qualified for nationalsUtah didn’t even earn
a participation ribbon.
Utah-Hawaii Alum“By the way, what a crowd pleaser......so many
folks watch guys run long distances. I wann buy a ticket man!”Hundreds of thousands turn out to watch marathons every year.Certainly more than turn out to watch Denver, Colorado and Utah compete in
coed skiing; do they even televise that snooze fest?
BYU’s Men finished #8.BYU’s Women are up to #29.Even Utah St and Weber Stare representing. The mighty
weak P12 Utes are no shows.
If you claim Texas Tech as a fellow P5 you also have to claim Northwestern,
Vanderbilt, etc.The Utes fill that role well in the PAC 12. There are many athletic programs that are not P5 in the country that are
more prestigious than a supposed P5.Nowhere is that more true than
in the state of Utah.
@ blue n gold,Your WAC era relic football team is almost extinct big
hitter. It is unfortunate that Utah cancelled BYu football in 2014, because
Devontae Booker would have run roughshod all over BYu.When U lose
again to Utah this August, just thank your lucky stars that it isn't 10
losses in-a-row this decade.By the way, what a crowd pleaser......so
many folks watch guys run long distances. I wann buy a ticket man!Take care dear soul.
Chris B - Salt Lake City, UTGee, Chris B - Salt Lake City, UT. How
many P5 teams did BYU finish ahead of? And, please tell us, what place did
"P5" Utah finish.Utah-Hawaii Alum - CA, 00You
are just making yourself look silly now. No one claimed BYU was "world
beaters." Any talk about winning the NCAA's was acknowledged as a very
remote possibility. And I don't know what "revenue" sports has to
do with this article but I suppose you just cannot help with your fixation on
BYU and your need to say something negative. But "not competitive?"
Well there are a lot of teams, including P5, who would not agree with you. Like
maybe Utah in basketball.
Chris B - Salt Lake City, UTJune 8, 2019 7:10 a.m.“Congrats to fellow p5 Texas tech on a national title.”LOL!Typical glomming on to an accomplishment the Utes have
absolutely NOTHING to do with. The sorry Utes aren’t even
Utah-Hawaii Alum - CA, 00June 8, 2019 6:53 a.m.“Man-oh-man.......? The whY hype going into this meet was
again......simply "unreal," pun intended.”yawn, - BYU finished 5.5 points out of 4th, but even an 8th place dwarfs
anything Utah’s men have ever done in Track & Field.“Y fans need to talk less and accept their place as a decent athletic
program and not competitive in revenue sports.”Congratulations
on your 4th place finish... in the state, behind UVU.*
light pat on head *BYU has owned U in basketball since Majerus era
players ( Bogut) left the U:14 of the last 20, most by double
digits, including THREE 20-point blowouts.EIGHT NCAA tourneys to
They had a real shot at a top 3 finish, but 8th is nothing to scoff at,
regardless of what some goofs balls may think. Nice Job Cougs!
Congrats to fellow p5 Texas tech on a national title.
Man-oh-man.......? The whY hype going into this meet was again......simply
"unreal," pun intended.I think an 8th place finish is great,
CONGRATS, but like all things BYu.......... they always claim they are
"world beaters."Y fans need to talk less and accept their
place as a decent athletic program and not competitive in revenue sports.
This may have been a disappointing finish considering the team was ranked
fourth, but finishing eighth in the country is still great. Congratulations
Congratulations to BYU Men’s Track & Field on finishing in the Top 10!
