“BYU didn't play a ranked team, they played a injury depleted 6-6 Michigan at a neutral site.”

    yawn

The Michigan that BYU beat in the 1984 Holiday Bowl would have destroyed the 5-7 Michigan team Utah beat in Ann Arbor.

As already stated, Michigan 1984 BEAT then #1 Miami (finished #18), only lost to #2 Washington by 9 and only lost to #1 BYU by 7.

Michigan 1984 did suffer a some injuries midseason that were a factor in several losses, but most of those players were healthy enough to play in the Holiday Bowl.

Also, did you see his only start vs a starting NFL defense in week 3 of the NFL preseason last year vs Buffalo........He threw 3 picks and lost two fumbles = 5 turnovers in the 1st half, was benched and NOLA was on the phone and hired Teddy Bridgewater the next day. Our friends on the hill don’t seem to think much of Taysom Hill’s quarterback chances. Got news for you, fellas. Hill is already playing quarterback, as well as six other positions. When he is named Brees’ successor, will we still hear that he is just a gadget player? That he can’t pass? That he’s injury prone (that was your opinion two years ago)? Your problem is that Hill once wore a blue uniform. Utah fans must be the only NFL fans in the country who don’t appreciate Hill’s abilities.

Hill may get a raise if he can fill a valuable position like "slot receiver." He, as of today, is no QB possibility whatsoever, contributes on special teams, but is NOT a game changer like a Deion Sanders......but, there are only 53 roster spots. Also, he is really old and lacks a solid position to build on.............. I think NOLA will maybe give him a paltry sum for a year or two, maybe?

Let's talk about important things. I'm watching what happens to the UF vs Miami line leading up to the season opener. It's hovering between 8 and 9 for early predictions by some books. If it stays there I'm taking the lizards ats (up to -10). It's @ Miami, but that program is in turmoil and UF is coming off a big bowl performance and should be decent this year (until the Dawgs slap them around again lol).

Also looking at U vs Wazzu and U vs ASU. I think both WSU and ASU will be pretty good this year, and both of those games are in SLC. Depending on whether I'm right about how good they'll be, you might get some pretty decent lines coming into those games. Also I'm, watching what the line will be with OU visiting UCLA. I think OU might be slow out of the gate and that might mean a generous line against UCLA (if it's less than -13 I'm laying down for OU). OU is also one of the best teams ATS the last 10-15 yrs (as you and I well know).

And of course since you mentioned USC v BYU and Stanford the week before, I'll be watching that now as well. Also, that will have an impact on the line the following wk against U...but I don't expect as much play in that line. Thoughts?

Don’t know whether Taysom will ever become the Saints’ starting QB, but he’s become one if the most talked-about players on the team.

Television announcers mention Taysom every time he steps onto field, knowing that he’s capable of doing something brilliant and totally unexpected.

I'm glad that Utah State is doing well. The school is marching itself up the ladder on the world stage daily. USU is a great school on the rise. We Utes love our bros in Logan, Utah. If the PAC ever expanded to 16 schools...........they would most likely be invited or considered highly........along with New Mexico, SDSU and Colorado State, UNLV is also a great possibility as well.

    Gooooooo Utes and Aggies!

The Aggies have clearly passed both of the schools down south as the premier college football and basketball program in the state of Utah! Way to go Aggies!

    @ Striker,

Of course Hill is a great player or he'd be working at a car wash with Janice Jorgensen, Jake Heaps and Matt Reynolds.

What is known......his fans and culture thirst for acceptance and recognition in normal society. That is really where the "issue" lies kind sir.

Gooooooo Nola and Drew Brees!....... and of course superstar free safety Ute Marcus Williams!!!

Immature minds can't accept he's a sensational talent and a TEAM first player, as proven by playing positions for one team like Special teams, WR, and QB. The Saints we amazingly smart to steal him off the waivers. He's part of their future. He'll be there for years to come.

    Way to keep impressing Taysom!

Ya know, whY do Fredette and Hill talk so much? I just don't get it????? Both Hill, however he plays in big time for NOLA, and Fredette, who anguishes in China, are darn lucky to play any pro ball at all.

    @ Skywalker,

Yes, he is a really REALLY good football player, I agree, but nowhere near Deion Sanders in terms of versatility and greatness. I love watching Hill, other than his terrible QB play.

    C'mon Hill,

Stop stating or making innuendo that your goal is to become Drew Brees' successor! That is just crazy talk! Taysom Hill is a big fast football player that is a "gadget guy" in the NFL, but has never been a QB, even in college. He cannot pass a lick! Taysom Hill is old and he should try to get a handsome contract, play a few years, and then thank his lucky stars that he was gifted enough to have made it in the NFL. I admire him, as he is a really good football player in many ways.

Taysom's versatility may be unmatched in the annals of NFL history.

    Saints fans love him.
