Glad that arrests for these sick people are on the rise. Keep up the good work officers.

"This state is like a candy store for predators. We have a lot of children, and we're friendly, forgiving people here,"

It goes a lot deeper than that. It is not just that people in Utah are friendly, forgiving, and have a lot of children (which is actually fast become not true for the overall populace)... it is that we hide all discussion of human sexuality from children making them vulnerable to abuse. The article mentions:

"In Utah, police are seeing more victims aged five and under, Farnsworth said. A recent case involved a newborn baby. Younger victims who don't understand abuse make it harder to find who is producing the material, she added."

The simple truth is; even teenagers don't understand the abuse; because it is illegal for anyone to tell them about human sexuality; except of course their abusers.

This is why we NEED to make human biology (ed) mandatory, and starting in kindergarten. Currently we keep children in the dark until they are late teens; and even then only allow "abstinence" as the guide. When one can't even define what "abuse" is; children and teens don't know they have been abused.

One of the last things of deterioration of a country or civilization is their lack of love and protection of their children. Abortion is at an all time high and even to the last minute before birth with out guilt. "

You do realize that when you brazenly tell a lie, it ruins any validity that any remaining statements that you make? The fact is that abortion is at the lowest rate since Roe v. Wade. Honest. You can look it up. I know it doesn't fit your narrative, and the GOP's rallying cry, but, it's true.

What the piece didn't do is really tell us is the crime happening more often, or is enforcement of the crime just better now. I surely hope it is more of the latter, and less of the former. It's a horrible thing to take away a child's innocents, and later their ability to choose, just to satisfy ones own curiosity. I think too many don't understand that those images are real people... and supporting that industry hurts a lot of people. It's not imaginary, but reality for these kids.... to have their right to choose taken from them.

One of the last things of deterioration of a country or civilization is their lack of love and protection of their children. Abortion is at an all time high and even to the last minute before birth with out guilt. Babies and small children who are used for some form or sex is the ultimate form of destruction . A person who has attraction to children for sex, in most cases was abused as children them selves. We need to get to them early so we can stop them from being sexually abused, and the process going further. Too many LDS families don't believe that it could happen to their children but it does. My daughter was on an over night with other young church girls and the girls uncle fondled our daughter and it took years to help her have confidence. We thought this was an ok activity with other church families but we were wrong. Young children need to be guarded from all, and given opportunities to tell mom and dad anything that bothers them, not holding it in and suffering. The person who does it has to be taken out of the public and have mental treatment, and more. This is horrific in our society
