    As a retired state employee, i am certain the governor will have access to health care,
    that i will never be able to afford.

    This is a teaching moment for kids, a lot of whom think sunburns and excess sun exposure without protection are inconsequential, and he's a prominent figure in our state. Why not share the governor's personal experience in a meaningful way?? I worked for a doctor whose elderly patient put salves on her nasal skin lesion on the advice of her neighbor until her nose was half destroyed by squamous cell cancer and had to be reconstructed. Melanoma is far worse but squamous cell cancer is not innocuous!

    Squamous or basal cell carcinoma are very common and easily treated. I predict 100% successful recovery!
