The fact that Nancy Pelosi seems to be the voice of reason in this debacle is evidence to me that the Democrats are as out of touch with the American people as the Republicans who revere Trump as a modern Messiah. Does Trump lack many basic human decencies and behave like a child? Yes. Has he done things that I find personally offensive and instituted and supported policies that I question? Yes. Does any of that prove criminal behavior? No. The Mueller probe stated it very clearly: while there isn't enough evidence to clear Trump of any wrongdoing definitively, there is also insufficient evidence to show that he acted criminally. It's time to move on, folks.

The fact is the Republicans have shown they would not vote to impeach Trump if he shot someone on the floor of the Senate. Keep investigating but forget impeachment. 2020 is on the way.

    * There are politicians who don't want to protect our border even though thousands of Americans are being killed with drug trafficking.

    * Millions of babies aborted at the time of birth because our representatives ignore their rights.

    * Many political leaders advance the idea of taking peoples earnings and giving it to someone else is ethical.

Sorry folks! But it's not Donald Trump who needs to impeached!

Democrats are in a tough spot and it will be great theater seeing this play out. The constitution requires Congress provide oversight on the President. But politics require the Democrats be strategic to hold on to the House and possibly win back the WH. The Muellar report and our own eyes and ears illustrate Trump is not fit to be President. In this day and age, removing him from office thru impeachment is a political act not a legal one. The wise thing to do is to use the Muellar report and Trumps own words and actions against him in the campaign. Any patriotic American won't vote for him but there still may be enough to enable him to win again if the Democrats nominate another weak candidate that won't appeal to the swing state voters.

Keep beating that one note drum, dems. Keep showing us you have nothing else to offer.

The Mueller report and trump’s tax returns are two different issues. The demand for the tax returns is nothing but a fishing expedition. We know from what happened during the dark days of the BO misadministration that there are dem operatives within the IRS. If there was anything to trump’s tax returns, they’d have found a way to have exposed them by now.

Congressional leaders including Pelosi caution against getting ahead of themselves on the serious matter of impeachment. That's reasonable up to the point where evidence is such that a moral imperative to remove a President becomes obvious. They must not be intimidated by increasing GOP calls to end the investigation and move on.

Democrats can't do that with fact-finding the crucial task at hand. They are right in using Congressional investigative powers to seek access to Trump's tax returns and the Mueller report without the Attorney General's unchecked redactions.

Impeach President Trump for what? Democrats need to get their facts right first (no collusion, no obstruction), then they can distort the facts as much as they please! Their problem is their distortions are not grounds for impeachment! On the other hand, I hope Democrats try it! Voter backlash will shock even them!
