    good news

I am curious who provided the funding for this enterprise. Clean rooms, manufacturing facilities, supplies / components, distribution all take money, and a lot of that has to come up front before this enterprise even sells its first prescription. The entities who provided the start-up capital should be thanked and supported.

This is the most important news I've heard in 10 years! The establishment of Civica RX and what it's goals and objectives are should be front page news on every paper in America!

At a time when many of us believed we were doomed to relinquish too many of our hard earned dollars to the drug companies, this astounding development has really happened!

It just goes to show that inspired and unimaginably positive things can happen in the world when brilliant people step up to serve their fellow human beings - and put the all-mighty dollar down a few rungs on the ladder.

Way to go Civica RX - you are a bright ray of hope in an increasingly darkening world!

    What an amazing project!

This is exemplary of the finest thinking that incredible visionary and compassionate human beings are capable of. At a time when many Americans cannot afford many drugs, or providers may not have access to certain drugs when they need them, what a God send!

No doubt many of America's for profit drug companies are viewing this "not for profit" endeavor with rancor and suspicion. How dare these kind and compassionate people challenge their monopolies and profit generating strategies with impunity?

Well to you drug companies and to your CEO's (some of whom make $26 million dollar annual salaries) - we say, this is way overdue. We say, you have persecuted us and robbed us of our money and hope for far too long. With this new hope, the day is at hand in which we won't have to continue to choose between paying for our prescriptions and the necessities of life (like groceries).

Thank you to all who are part of Civica RX. You are the best of the best. You give us all hope that compassionate and creative humanity is alive and well. Our best wishes for your success wonderful people!

    Dr. Marc Harrison

And to all others associated with this remarkable and transformative initiative - I say to you God bless you!!!

As a healthcare professional, I have witnessed over the past 40 years how our healthcare system (and in particular the drug companies) have gouged, profiteered and held sick and dying Americans hostage to their greedy and self serving practices. Healthcare should not be about profiteering and building empires! Healthcare must be about helping human kind through relief of pain, suffering, disability and dying!

I am well aware that it costs a lot of money to provide care and many wonderful Physicians, Nurses, Therapists and Hospital Administrators do the best they can to keep costs down - but not all of them do that. I recognize that highly trained professionals deserve to make a decent living for all their hard work and dedication - but it must be balanced with the well being of consumers of healthcare.

Heroic Dr. Marc Harrison stated: "Civica is designed to serve a higher purpose, not a bottom line". What a wonderful new enterprise - my hat is off to these incredible human beings for offering hope!
