We will bankrupt our country and our military getting involved in every civil
war in every country which has one. We end up making some of them worse and
creating more hate for the U.S. We also can't afford years of all these
wars and their people fleeing to the U.S.
No Trumpistas in this forum today. There is no good reason to support the
genocidal war of Saudi Arabia, except that it likely benefits our dear leader in
The Saudis are better at generating terrorists for the world, than conducting a
military operation despite the massive US support.Like the 7 year
war Iran/Iraq war, which eventually included 'gas' because of the
stalemate, the Saudis are given to more atrocities to attempt to overcome
their ineptitude. The veto only shows how uninterested Trump is in
'peace' in the Middle East.
The war in Yemen is nothing more than a model for Trump's new America.
"I love the Saudi's!" - Donald Trump. Why does he love them? They
spend a lot of money at his hotel in D.C., they buy his apartments and his
yachts. Trump loves money and fame...and most of himself. He loves
the Saudi's because they have money and get him money. Of
course, he will choose their interests over the lives of Yemeni men, women, and
Another example of how the civilized world looks at America with contempt.
Maybe Glorious Leader can rebrand Yemen.
Of course he did. Let's look at his taxes. We already know the Saudis bout
hundreds of millions of Trump's properties. And his Mega yacht. Trump will
do what's best for the Saudi's over the best interests of the US or
True to form, Donald Trump decides again for tyrants and despots. By his veto to
stop support for the Saudi government's Yemen war, Trump again comes out in
favor of Mohammed Ben Salman much as he maintained support for MBS after the
brutal assassination and dismemberment of WaPost journalist, Adnan Khashoggi.Remember the Trump Organization has business interests in Saudi Arabia
both completed and on-going and it is in Trump's financial interests to
protect them. This is why the first foreign country Trump visited was not our
most important NATO ally, Great Britain, but Saudi Arabia to secure his
financial interests through a continued American commitment to that nation.Much of Trump's attention is directed toward those countries with
Trump financial projects in place followed by his deep-seated need to win the
approval of dictators like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un. He appears to not
care for traditional allies like England, France, and Germany and appears to
follow Putin's suggestion (demand?) that he reduce those alliances and give
Russia free rein in Eastern Europe.
Why? What could Trump get out of the veto-I wonder.
