    Here is my frustration, the withholding tables were changed not because they needed to be, but for political purposes to convince you that where getting a big tax break those first couple of paychecks. I claim zero, my wife claims zero and we didn't change my withholding. We both got modest raises, but we now have a significant tax bill to pay. This article proves that it was a slight of hand by continuing to lower the percentage to not have to pay a penalty. Now I have had to go back to my employer and have them take out a significant amount of additional money out for my federal tax bill. Like many other Americans that are certainly middle class, but not lower middle class, I didn't get a tax cut, I got a tax increase and a significant one at that.
