Hey! Non of this half way stuff. Let's go all in. Free all the time, increase routes and tax anyone who drives a car to pay for it. Socialism now!

Let's get UTA to focus nearly 90% of their funding on Ridership and less on coverage. This can reduce traffic, help with clearing the air and move nearly 40% more people in just SL County from today.

This will mean that the less dense areas will see their bus service reduced or removed completely. This however is a part of the choice to live a lifestyle. You accept longer commutes and less to no transit options. You also accept heavy traffic from others that made the same choice.

UTA cannot go to free fares full time until FrontRunner is double tracked. Once that is completed, going free full time should be the goal. Prior to that, having 1 or 2 days a week be free for the system would be good. The best days would be Friday & Monday. With consistency, people can plan how they will get around while also getting used to the services.

I hope there's lots of advance notice for these in the future. Potential transit users who are unfamiliar with the system would be more likely to try it out on a free day if they had some time beforehand to plan out a trip or two.

Fantastic. Let's keep doing it, and grow those percentages!
