Congrats to the Aggies on proving that they were the best football and basketball teams in the state in 2018-2019.

Utah LOST to their only "good" PAC 12 South opponent.

It's interesting how rankings are EVERYTHING to U, when Utah is ranked higher, but meaningless when Utah is ranked lower or unranked.

    -----

So? Utat State played a ONE game schedule and lost at Michigan State.

Utah State had a good year playing #113 SOS.

Utah finished AP #29, playing #26 SOS.

Utah is picked as a top 15 team, #31 Utah State is not, and your team at #53 is a joke.

"Utah State is 1-15 since 1970 in the NCAA."

An utterly MEANINGLESS statistic when it comes to seeding in the 2019 tourney.

    -----

    Did I say it was?

What I said was #8 Utah State overlooking #9 Washington to R32 with #1 North Carolina is laughable.

Just like USUs 1-15 NCAA record since 1970.

    You welcome!

Agreed. Lefty was a great recruiter and strategist, but would fool everyone with that "Aw Shucks" southern attitude.

Interesting note: Long before anybody suggested BYU was trying to be the Notre Dame of the West, Lefty claimed Maryland was the UCLA of the East.

"NW finished the year CFP ranked, as did we & unlike USU."

    NOPE!

NW and Utah finished the REGULAR season CFP ranked.

Utah then crashed and burned in the post season, getting owned once again by Washington in the CCG, then suffering a total 2nd half meltdown against NW in the Holiday Bowl.

Utah State, meanwhile, won their bowl game, and unlike Utah, Utah State and NW both finished the season ranked in both final major polls.

It's absolutely hysterical how you chose to totally ignore post season results in claiming that Utah was better than Utah State.

That definitely would NOT have been the case if Utah had won their CCG and bowl games.

I'd like to see USU do well, but NC will undress them if they make it to the 2nd round.

I'm impressed with the way Gonzaga plays, but I am a big UVA and Michigan state fan as well.

“AZUTE makes me laugh. He tends to forget pertinent info, like the fact the Cougs basketball team took the Utes to the woodshed also.”

The point made was that usu was the state’s best, which I clearly refuted. I never claimed we were the best, so our result against byu-p was irrelevant.

“Who can forget how this representative of the conference of champions did in their bowl game against Northwestern....oops.”

NW finished the year CFP ranked, as did we & unlike usu.

Who was usu’s bowl game opponent? It was such a high-flyin’ juggernaut that my memory fails me right now? Where did that opponent finish CFP ranked?

“I think he will be eating some crow come Friday afternoon. Go Aggies!”

Anybody can beat anybody on any given day, particularly in March Madness, which is why I never guaranteed anything, either way.

So what is it I’m supposed to be eating crow about? My support of UW/PAC-12? Huh? Seriously?

USU is rolling. Having gone to their game on Saturday at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas and then running over to the T-Mobile to watch Oregon vs, Washington, I believe that the Aggies will Crush the Huskies.

The Aggies, I believe, would have won the PAC12 this year...easily. The PAC 12 is the most highly over rated conference in the world.

The Aggies would have faired very well in the WCC as well. Although I don't think that they could beat Gonzaga, they would fair very well with the like of the rest of the conference.

Good luck to the Aggies. I look forward to a cinderella run!
