This is indeed a sad commentary on what is happening in the United States educational system. Many universities such as Princeton and others are using a system that is not fair: Children of alumni are automatically accepted, children whose parents donate large amounts of money, intellectually impaired athletes (who don’t actually receive diplomas), and celebrity students. in Germany for example one does not have to pay to go to university nor in most of the European community. What is sad, however, in this case. Whilst 50 some individuals have been accused, only one person Lori Laughlin, is getting the brunt of the hostile reaction. I think we need to remember that in the USA one is consided innocent until proven guilty. I believe that she is being made into a scapegoat because of her image. People want to see others torn down. Ms Loughlin is not being charged with a murder. She also might be innocent. Lets put the institutions to the same scrutiny.

Though it may seem trivial, it's a sad day for all "hearty" fans who love "When Calls the Heart." It's a shame that this program will be pulled immediately as announced by Hallmark. First Jack "dies", and now Abigail "bites the dust" with no official goodbye. Will she be written out of the script, or is it a final goodbye? Anyone you look at it, it's difficult!

Ahhh...America 2019!! Guilty until proven innocent.

If she would have just given the school a briefcase full of cash to build a building for drama and the arts she'd be hailed a hero. That's how it's been done forever...I'm not saying it's right...but a lot less paper trail would have been involved.

Is it really a criminal act? 1 mil bond for the actress. Really???? The real crime is the college that knows that has been going on for years. With exorbitant tuition costs and with Money being Money to them do you really think they care on how they get it? Maybe they need to focus on their admission vetting? Guess how many NFL and NBA players (and their parents and maybe even recruiters) need to be on that list of cheaters?
