pragmastistferlifeYou said, "That's why
abortion is severely restricted after that point, and even the vast majority of
the left would only support abortion with the life of the mother in danger (I
know about the "health" issue). "Again, your own words
get you. "Severely restricted" is inconsistent with the principles you
espoused. You tell us when life begins, then use this phrase to admit that
abortion after the point it is "severely restricted" is taking a viable
life from the infant. How many lives have been denied the right to live? I stand with those who try to protect those who have no voice - they
have life, but no voice, yet. And of course, the life of the mother (if
threatened) must be given first consideration.
pragmatistferlife"Speaking for the left, the answer is No. We do
believe that a fetus does become a living human entity after the point of
viability."You have not been keeping up. When Roe vs Wade was
passed, the abortion advocates were declaring that abortion would not be
advocated, but rather would be rare-the exception rather than the rule. The
world was told that the only purpose of abortion rights was to give options to a
mother with an unwanted pregnancy - birth would still be the preference.Fast forward to today's left agenda - pushing abortion to later and
later. Each time, it is said that viability is later and later. Now in some
states, they are talking about late term abortions and even after birth, giving
the mother the right to decide to "terminate the life" of the infant on
the table nearby. The life of the mother is no longer going a question to be
settled by ending the life of the child. Abortion is a business. Some doctors
are in the abortion business. Some institutions are in the abortion business.
Follow the money.
"I have never seen or heard of anyone murdering a fetus born alive."I refer you to Gosnell, the abortion doctor, who is serving time for the
murder of children born alive."Fetus born alive." Good
attempt to de-humanize the child.
Anti-abortion people base their opposition is religious terms. In
the U.S. you can practice whatever religion you want and as long as you practice
that religion you can abide by whatever rules it indicates. But that
doesn’t mean you get to take your religious beliefs and dictate the lives
of other people. Your religion tells YOU what you can and cannot do.
Utahute 69 "Seriously, do you really believe that a child is not a living
entity prior to being born? "Speaking for the left, the answer
is No. We do believe that a fetus does become a living human entity after the
point of viability. At that point separate working parts come together and work
as a system..a human system. That's why abortion is severely restricted
after that point, and even the vast majority of the left would only support
abortion with the life of the mother in danger (I know about the
"health" issue). I'm amazed that every day the same
question comes from the right, when do you think a baby is alive. We know when
it is and have for decades.
Death threats are NEVER o.k. Abortions are FAR worse.
Lilly Munster Could we get just one real fact or truth. Planned Parenthood
doesn't do abortions? Their president said that is the business of planned
parenthood. These comments of irrational lunacy are what drive the
progressives. It would be like me saying progressives kill babies. Oh wait
that is what they do. 60 million since row vs wade. Ever see the movie about
Gosnell? If not it is because the abortionists don't want it shown. lol I get it you weren't serious, you were just trying to troll
The doctor was performing legal operations, and she claims that harrassment cost
her job. I believe her - and I believe that she would not have been harrassed,
were it not for religion. We decided a long time ago that abortion is legal, and
yet, we have fringe, religious-based elements defending harrassment. That’s not OK.
@EDM, so you say "Religion has everything to do with it. It twist our
behavior such that we care more for the unborn than the living." In your
case the only twisted behavior comes from those that somehow believe that the
unborn are not living. Seriously, do you really believe that a child is not a
living entity prior to being born? Speaking of being twisted, perhaps you can
tell us all when a baby is finally considered to be alive.
Ultimately, if you harass someone you are breaking the law. So harassing this
doctor is illegal. Abortions are not illegal anymore. So the law sees this
differently than most of you commentating. I am bound to uphold the law,
as my husband Joseph told me to do.
Religion has everything to do with it. It twists our behavior such that we care
more for the unborn than the living.
I don't condone abortions but let's be real. Do we accuse all those
fathers who want to "cut the cord" of their newborns as murder... please
be intelligent enough to see this in context. After working in baby
delivery for more than 40 years (in places we could opt out of working with
abortions), I have never seen or heard of anyone murdering a fetus born alive.
While I cannot condone threats of violence against her or her family, I am glad
we have one less abortionist in Utah.As to her claim she did not cut
babies’ throats, that is exactly when some abortion procedures do.EDMWhat does religion have to do with this?WhazzzzzzuppppIf your name IS Donald trump, PLEASE get off twitter!
This has to be said. Women's clinics that have never had anything to do
with abortions have been bombed or set on fire. Doctors have been assassinated
in the streets, their medical practices, and even in their own churches.
Pregnant women in waiting rooms at medical clinics have been assaulted and
beaten. Planned Parenthood, which does not perform abortions, in spite of the
angry, irrational lies perpetuated against them, is regularly demonized and
suffers ongoing violence against them and their clients, are proof of which
side perpetuates violence and hatred.
So let me get this straight. According to the article, it was just yesterday
that she clarified that she DIDN'T mean cutting vocal cords as she's
aborting babies? Maybe there's a good reason that's what
people thought -- Twitter isn't the most effective medium for nuanced
conversations. It sounds like this Doctor put her foot in her mouth, lost her
job, and is now lashing out and suing whomever she can.A word to the
wise: if your name isn't Donald Trump, get off Twitter.
Maybe she should look into a branch of medicine that actually upholds the
To "EDM" so, killing babies is more noble than reporting on the news??
Really??So the people starving in Atheist countries like North Korea
and China is not as bad as an ABORTION doctor's name dragged through the
All of this pales in comparison to what she did to those unborn children.
We have religion to thank for countless, daily suffering around the globe - and
this is just one example.
