    Forgetting the fun fact of why "password" would be a popular "password."

    The very fact that: "Gizmodo reported Tuesday that the phrase appeared in 141 different data breaches,"

    Shows that all these 141 data breaches; that the databases were not following industry standard best practices of encrypting the passwords with a one-way hash; and salting them to ensure that even the same passwords don't have the same hash.
