    That's a pretty good list to work from. I wish I could cross paths with her dad - maybe I'd get some GUM! (haha) (I'd be happier without listening to the Eagles - I heard them about a million times too often. But that's just personal taste.)

    I'd distill it down further.

    The happiest people I know are the ones who can be happy under the widest range of circumstances. We CHOOSE to be happy or unhappy... to be offended or not... etc.

    An analogy... as a year-round bicyclist, I deal with temperatures that might be 5 below zero, or 105 above. While I'm not comfortable at the extremes, 30-plus years of that experience has resulted in my being VERY satisfied with anything between 35 and 95, or thereabouts. What a blessing that is! (I know people who complain about how miserable they are, if the temperature drops below 70, or rises above 75!)
