"(n) to pay childcare expenses of:
108 (A) a candidate while the candidate is engaging in campaign activity; or
109 (B) an officeholder while the officeholder is engaging in the duties of an officeholder."

This bill allows campaign funds to be used for other than direct expenses of political campaigning.

    Not the best idea IMO.

There is no vetting of the day care provider. Can the candidate/office holder pay an aide to care for child[ren]? If the candidate's partner is a full-time employee and takes off work to child-care, can the partner's lost wages be paid as a part of the child care?

Can candidate and partner attend events away from home and pay for room and care of minor children who accompany him/them? How about travel expenses?

Sorry boys and girls, this is pure pork barrel politics as I see the big elephant in the room, and the pun is intended.
