I'm in Washington this weekend and next week. The storm caused traffic risk and shut down our business. Church has been cancelled tomorrow.

My observation is that many drivers are not used to driving in the snow, making slide offs and stuck vehicles more common. Additionally, I have not seen many snow plows out pushing snow and dropping sand or salt on the roads.

Because these storms aren't as common here in Washington, people respond differently. In Utah, this storm wouldn't have closed schools and businesses.
