    Seems like a ruse to increase ratings.

    Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson, said “it wouldn’t be unusual that such an attack wouldn't be caught on video.”

    His statement didn't clarify anything.

    He needs to release his phone records and explain why he didn't call 911 immediately.

    Also, Chicago is street-cam crazy. We are still looking for some evidence.

    I'm not ready to call him a liar, but healthy skepticism is in order at this point.

    I find the comments in these threads highly disturbing. People have been going after him since it was first reported. Since when did it become customary to immediately go on the attack against potential victims?

    @ute alum
    He had injuries to his face, the police have released video of two people of interest, his neighbor reported seeing two suspicious men outside their building, a suspicious package with white powder was sent to the set of empire a few day earlier. Then of course there is this from the article “Superintendent Eddie Johnson, said that even though detectives haven't found video of the attack, Smollett has been "very cooperative and we have no reason at this point to think he's not being genuine with us." and “it wouldn't be unusual that such an attack wouldn't be caught on video.”
