To "embarrassed Utahn!" how is it ridiculous to compare the current Republican actions to the Democrats? They both have done nearly the same exact thing for the same reasons. What is ridiculous is condemn the Republicans for doing the same thing that you cheered on from the Democrats.

To "unrepentant progressive" but they are not debating. It has turned into the pre-show that you see in Professional Wrestling. They make big entrances, and make inflammatory statements then they prepare for battle. They are not out to debate.

since we're using sports analogies here, it's more like one team is cheating at every opportunity. The BAD team keeps fouling out, getting a yellow card, striking out, fumbling the ball, etc. Those players keep getting ejected from the game, and fined.

But, they just bring in more of the same kind of player and keep playing a dirty game. Then, they claim; "unfair, witch hunt, fake media, no collusion" all the while getting caught at what they're doing.

Equivocating what the Republicans did when Obama was president ( and how they've done nothing since trump was elected) to what Dems are doing now is ridiculous.

Obama was gracious and even-handed when mcconnell and co. obfuscated the whole way and did their best to make him a one-term president.

Time for the Dems to take the gloves off and leave them OFF!!! The future of our nation relies on it!

Indeed, the politics of 2016 till today is the politics of destruction. It is the intent of the majority party to win at any cost, principles be damned. IMHO, we are far closer to an authoritarian regime by the current occupant of the White House than many of us believed possible.

And a pox upon Americans for seeing government as some sort of wrestling match, as opposed to a debate. Government is not a TV 'reality' show populated by showmen and actors. Far too few of us listen to the reasoned arguments (where actual logic, reason and fact are employed that is) of both sides of a political question to develop an informed opinion.

The mistake here may be in believing that the game is D vs R when it is really D & R vs the rest of us.
