No names said: A nation of 9,000,000 (9 million) citizens has nations with some 1,000,000,000 (1,000 million) citizens wanting to eradicate them.

1,000 million is a billion, there are 1.5 billion muslims in the world most of whom are not in the middle east, or violent towards Israel or Jewish religion, that is just a false statement and hyperbole.

Israel is not the spokes person for the Jewish Religion, they are a far right zionist state.

Interesting that the US is willing to ignore the rest of the world in order to back a questionable regime with an abysmal human rights record.

Sorry, no names, I was considering Israel the state, not the Jewish people. Israel the state has not been a decent or benign neighbour, and it exists entirely on our defense department gold card. As for the middle east region itself, it is the best example in the world of how religion is an infection on mankind.

Israeli politicians know how to stir up trouble. And, when they need it, they know how to claim they're victims.

@Hutterite: "Israel seldom misses an opportunity to play the victim."

A nation of 9,000,000 (9 million) citizens has nations with some 1,000,000,000 (1,000 million) citizens wanting to eradicate them.

Since late 2015 this small nation has been the victim of 201 terror stabbings, 217 terror shootings, 71 terror attacks using vehicles as weapons, and car bombing. These 490 terror attacks have resulted in 76 innocent deaths and 1167 wounded.

In per capita terms this would be over 17,000 terror attacks in the US with almost 2700 deaths and almost 41,000 injuries, in about 3 years. How would any American react if we were having some 5,600 terror attacks each year with 900 deaths and 14,000 citizens injured each and every year?

The degree of anti-Semitism in the world astounds me. The same folks who condemn any hint of religious influence in public life in the US, turn around and condone terror attacks against Israel because the Jews control a small chunk of mostly worthless land that happens to contain some religious significance to some other people? No consistency.

How about those who dislike the Jews stop trying to kill them for a few years and see how things go?

Neither does Trump. BTW, I'd have thought that Jared Kushner would've "fixed" the Middle East stuff by now.
