Those that drive drunk are almost always the ones that don't get hurt and are in denial about their alcohol problem. They do so much harm to the rest of society.

The best thing that could happen is for the wrong way driver to spend her weekends in jail for the next 3-5 yrs., be on an ankle monitor, and have to spend Monday through Friday working 2 jobs to pay for all the young girls medical bill's. If she has a lifetime of medical bill's than the wrong way driver should have to pay them all. This is the only way you can teach these drunk drivers about the harm they do to others.

I hope the poor girl recovers fully. I hope the drunk driver that hit her gets 10+ years in jail. In both instances, what were the BAC? I'm betting way, way over .08%. Much less .05%. These people are what the Legislature should focus on, with enhanced penalties for drunks in crashes, not on people that have 2 beers or a cocktail with dinner.
