"Are you talking about the U's domination in fb over the last decade, or the Y's domination over the U in basketball over the last 2 decades?"

Domination? Over the past 2 decades, the tdS' basketball team had posted a 17-16 (.515) record vs. Utah. If you think THAT qualifies as "domination", wait'll you see what Utah's FOOTBALL teams have done to YOU over that same period of time: 14-5 (.737)!

Now THAT's "domination"!!! How miserable for you! Haha!

    ------

I think he got confused with his math. They only care about Dave Rose era, so only last 14 years matter to them.

I don't blame them. In 45 years, BYU has 4 NCAA wins all under Rose.

In football, only Edwards' era matters. They are waiting for the sport "cycle" to turn and they will start dominating again.

Oh give it a rest already...this nonsense has become absurd and ridiculous. It seems only Utah fans are incapable of grasping the concept (shocker) that people will cheer for a school they graduated from, live by, grew up cheering for, as well as their church school.

It seems only Utah fans are incapable of grasping the concept (shocker) that people will cheer for a school they graduated from, live by, grew up cheering for, as well as their church school. It's happened for a LONG time...way before the "mighty utes" went to the Pac12. But now cUte fans want to pretend it's only been going on since their "coronation". Please! Get over yourselves...UGA has been a tradition in my family for many years prior to 2011, and in plenty of other families I know.

Every other fan I've interacted with (especially UGA fans) don't give a hoot that I cheer for BYU also. They know I'm Mormon and it makes perfect sense to THEM. But obviously cUte fans can't seem to wrap it around their heads.

Stop being the arrogant, intolerable fans you accused BYU of being during the 80s and 90s. It's old, it's tired, it's not creative, and it reeks of insecurity. Move on already like U insist U have.

A suggestion is start worrying about your own team and your own conference, because the PAC-12 is the laughing stock of the P5s. 1-9 in bowl games since last season isn't exactly the best look. Getting thrashed in the NCAA tourney isn't either. Winning a division that has two bowl eligible teams, where you're one of the two and you couldn't beat the other just shows it was a bad year for the division, not that you've arrived.

    ------------

Utah won the 2018 South playing a #19 SOS.

    BYU won a 1984 NC playing a #104 SOS.

    Dear Utes throwing smack,

Congrats on owning BYU the last decade in football. That's the first time since 1960 you guys have actually won a decade, so, kudos (and you can thank a former BYU head coach)... Just remember that day is coming, and hiding behind the PAC-12 logo won't save your feelings that BYU still owns you and is more accomplished, lol.

Ironic, since BYU fans hide behind Washington, Georgia, USC, Arizona, Miami... Sorry if I missed team.

I thank McBride for rebuilding the Utah program, not Edwards.

You need to wake up, Utah State is starting to own you.

"So what if Holmoe thought it's the highlight of the year? What's offensive about that?"

Nothing is offensive about it. It's just super funny. Because Holmoe definitively and forever admitted that BYU-P is the little brother.

Nothing offensive about being so happy about a half time lead. I am overjoyed that winning means nothing to Holmoe. Y football being a half step from a dumpster fire is great entertainment. Delusional fans bring unintentional comedy all season long, it's better than Hollywood has done in decades.

Look to compare the BYU VB team to the football or basketball team is just really poor journalism. The vb team made the final 4. They had 2 serious injuries and just didn't play well in the passing dept which was a result of not blocking well. Ok, they lost 2 matches out of 33. They could have maybe changed a few girls ..... they maybe have to change philosophy on recruiting girls under 6ft for the front row. They got a wakeup call on what types of athletes they need to go after. They maybe need to move the recruiting out of Utah a little bit. But give me the vb staff and team any day over Rose's, contract extended, bunch of gym rats. Holmoe needs to be far more worried about extending Rose's contract than liking the first half of the Utah game. Why don't you ask him about his criterion for extending Rose? That should be the question .... but that is why Holmoe doesn't want to answer questions from the media. He needs to retire and either fire Rose right before he does ..... or let the new guy do it. Sitaki looks like he is putting in far more work than Rose. Sitaki has my support, but he is trying to win with Bronco's players and they aren't very good.

Ute fans, you have your own problems so don't worry about BYU. The highlight of your season is beating BYU every year. You spend all year talking about how bad BYU is and then you brag about beating them. Does that make sense? Guess what? BYU has lost to UMASS, Northern Illinois, East Carolina, and many more the past few years. Beating BYU is no great accomplishment. I think Some of the Utes fanatics forget that why you beat Byu is because Byu’s Running back’s got heart just like how Utah Utes is going to be tiring to figure out how to get it’s running backs healthy I am hoping Britain Covy heals soon and BYU finds a replacement for Hadley

Dang, dude! That was some of the best smack I've ever read on here! This was my favorite part:

"Winning a division that has two bowl eligible teams, where you're one of the two and you couldn't beat the other just shows it was a bad year for the division, not that you've arrived."

That and "hiding behind the PAC 12 logo." That was pretty good, too.

The reality is Whitt has half the formula for success dialed in: Great defense and big, aggressive lineman on both sides of the ball. It's the other half he is allergic to: Creative and variable offense. Kalani knows the formula, he just can't execute on it.

That last part of the podcast--to paraphrase, Dick Harmon said something like, "BYU teams start looking like they're going to do something great, and then they let you down. And fans are sick of it!"

Yes, Dick, you are completely right about that. I see a very real possibility of myself losing serious interest in football (it's already happened in basketball) until the coaching staff has changed. Unfortunately, it's entirely possible that Kalani will be able to put together several 7-6 and 8-5 seasons in a row after this year, so it may be quite a long time to endure sub-par teams before things change.

    Dear Utes throwing smack,

Congrats on owning BYU the last decade in football. That's the first time since 1960 you guys have actually won a decade, so, kudos (and you can thank a former BYU head coach). No wonder you guys can't help but beat your chest on every article. Don't forget that BYU has owned Utah in everything else besides women's gymnastics (wow, heavy hitter there) now for a long time. Eventually it's going to switch for football, and Utah will stop winning by one possession every single time we play, and it'll probably go back to around 50-50. Just remember that day is coming, and hiding behind the PAC-12 logo won't save your feelings that BYU still owns you and is more accomplished, lol.

How many times can a man look up,
before he can see the Big Sky?
How many losses must one man take,
before he stops hearing “they tried?”
How many tears must one man shed,
    before he’s allowed to cry?
The answer my friend is blowin in the wind.

Mr. Boris "focus on scoring more than 3 points against a very bad Washington team"
That was part of the problem against BYU -- looking ahead to Washington.
Plus that trick play where the punter flubs the kick and bounces it off a defender.
Now Western Michigan knows not to expect a "normal" punt from BYU.

Interesting that you call the #9 team in the nation "very bad".
#8 UCF must be bad as well, and rightly not in the playoffs.
Goes along with the "logic" that #17 Utah is a bottom feeder.
    Good comedy.

Now Tom Holmoe says he misspoke when he said the first half of the Utah loss was the highlight of the season. To give him the benefit of the doubt, I remembered back to times I have misspoke: 1. No dad, I didn’t total the car. 2. I am sure we put out the cat before we locked up. 3. I don’t smell anything. 4. We’re on the right track to P5 membership. ... Oh wait, that wasn’t me.

Many ways to look at things. While Provo fans feel they dominated the Utes for 3 quarters, you could also easily say, the Utes only needed to show up for one quarter and in 12 minutes they blew the Cougars right off the field.
