Does Utah or Utah State have an open weekend? BYU needs a confidence-builder
game. I'm pretty sure Weber State is busy.
Prepare to see more games like this one in the WCC. BYU will sneak in a win
against someone that they shouldn't beat and then lose 3 games to teams
that they should easily beat. The opportunity to have confidence against
Gonzaga because we used to be 3-1 against them in Spokane is now a real downer!
Our new record is 1-1 against them or 1-3 depending on the NCAA's rules on
giving away the wins while we played with an ineligible Emery. GU will
certainly want Rose retained for their sake. I guess that is why Mark Few voted
BYU likely to finish #1 in the WCC! Unfortunately, that is Mark Few's only
horrible talent evaluation in his career!!
The play byu ran at the end of regulation was totally inept. Seljaas shooting a
rushed 3 at the buzzer. Get the ball to your best player (Yoeli) and take your
It was obvious that BYU played with low intensity on defense in the first half
which I totally don't get? In the second half they upped the defensive
intensity and took better care of the ball. What really stood out was
BYU's poor shooting a the free throw line while UNLV drilled their fowl
shot with precision. I hope the Coaches have some of their players who missed
free throws shoot about a 1000 each in practice until they figure it out.
Foul shots!! You miss the front end back to back.....i would implement the
1000 foul shots at 4 am for any player that misses 2 back to back one and ones.
You all know the player in reference. One more head scratcher........ the
missed 3 at the end of regulation? As expected. There needs to be an influx of
ENERGY on this team. The first half didn't look like they even wanted to
Misters Rose and Holmoe please don't schedule teams that could beat you...
No reason to tarnish that 20 win manufactured record of Coaches... And why would
season ticket holders want to watch a quality team come into Provo besides the
yearly Gonzaga visit
I was at the game. The cougars should have won it twice. In my opinion, the key
was foul shots. UNLV didn't miss and at one point BYu missed the front end
of three one and ones. Free throw practice on Monday. Go cougars!
Same story: BYU is on a win streak, UNLV on a losing streak. UNLV was shooting
about 27% threes; tonight shoots over 50%. BYU shoots less than 33% threes and
misses a winning three at the end of regulation; losing when the Rebels hit a
three at the end of OT.Yawn.
