    The Polish Labor Union Solidarity, that helped bring down Communism in 1981, and The Heartland Institute have formed an agreement Climate Change (global warming) is not caused by carbon dioxide from burning fossil fuels.
    With the riots still going on in France over Global Warming Scare carbon taxes and Solidarity starting to get the labor movement on resisting unnecessary methods to reduce carbon dioxide emission, the Climate Change Hoax is starting to fall apart.
    The planet has wasted trillions of dollars on unneeded so-called renewable energy sources of solar, wind, ethanol from corn, other biofuels, etc. This loss of money has caused unneeded suffering of poorer people who can not afford energy from these expensive toys. Seven hundred million in Africa still do without electricity. Equal numbers in Asia.

    The Climate Change scare has caused unneeded suffering for more than 30 years and needs to end. COP 24 hopefully will be the end of this circus and waste of taxpayers money.

    @fireonthemtn,

    No sarcasm intended.

    It's a matter of practicing what you preach.

    Do some research/study, and you'll find we have a healthier and cleaner planet than a few hundred years ago.

    FT - Not really! What we are seeing with the left's attempts to force people to pay carbon taxes in France, which has NOTHING to do with saving the planet and everything to do with socialism (re-distribution) of wealth from those who earn it. There is unprecedented incivility from the left toward President Trump, Hollywood and the main stream media in so much that rational Americans pay no attention to the left anymore! When all you got to offer voters is how much you hate President Trump, you have a losing strategy! Just ask Hillary!

    @Thid
    "The extremists always have a difficult time getting others on board so they have one option: turning people against each other."
    This is a great example of what Trump and his supporters have been doing since the President's famous ride down his escalator in Trump towers.

    Ironically, these "protesters" are making Trump's point: The people of the USA are capable of doing whatever we want on climate change. We don't need an "accord" with the rest of the world. We are a sovereign nation.
    Simple, huh!?

    The extremists always have a difficult time getting others on board so they have one option: turning people against each other. It has to be. After all, if you believe in controlling people's lives, the people who don't wish to be controlled need to be vilified!

    Germany sees what is going on in France and wants no part in it. The media states that the protests are due to higher taxes. What they don't say is that the higher taxes are part of the French government's commitment to the Paris climate agreement to reduce greenhouse gases. Why do you think Trump pulled out of this agreement? Do you honestly think a president would ever get re-elected on the back of significantly raising taxes in the name of stopping global warming, not to mention the economic hardship it would create across the country for many? Trump is more intelligent than people give him credit for, and he could see that the Paris Accord was an economic disaster waiting to happen. There are better ways to deal with global warming, if that truly is the goal, than by putting people and economies in economic peril.

    Worf,
    Pessimism, sarcasm and negativity are much more convenient than making the commitment to innovation and technology that will help to make for a better environment in the future. Thank goodness there are creative, positive, innovative people who don't pay attention to the negative Luddite s.

    No one is stopping these protesters from contributing money to the Paris accord, and no one is forcing them to drive fossil fuel burning cars, or buying store products which were delivered by fossil fueled burning trucks.

    And please! Quit flying on airlines.
