The House of Representatives needs to call Michael Cohen in for a public hearing. It is time for this to come out into the open. He needs to bring his tapes and other evidence that back up his story.

Although, if Trump didn't know that the payments made to the Porn Star and the Playboy Bunny were a violation of campaign finance laws why did he lie about it for so long?

If the meetings he had with the Russians were all perfectly innocent why did he lie about those too?

Trump has lied and lied and lied to the American people. We deserve to hear the truth.

Maybe being President protects Trump from the law and facing justice, but at least the American people would get the facts.

Were getting there. This feels so much like it did with Watergate, and that hasn't gone away after all these years. I choose to believe that we'll mostly recover from Trump, but not in my lifetime. The damage he has done in normalizing incivility, lying, cheating, and just behaving childishly is going to be difficult to overcome.

If Mueller’s full report is strongly incriminating, with solid evidence, Senate Republicans would continue their support of Trump at their own peril and would risk losing their next elections. Supporting Trump could devastate the Republican Party for years to come. Senate and House Republicans would more likely distance themselves and vote to impeach , try, and remove Trump from office than allow the party to collapse and lose their jobs.

Trump will likely fire Mueller before letting all of this happen, but firing Mueller would trigger impeachment as an obstruction act.

And if congress fails to impeach Trump, the electorate will remove Congressional Republicans during elections, and Trump will fail to win a 2nd term.

Extreme liberal Democrats will gain the levers or power and ruin the country. Republican leaders need to remove Trump to preserve the Party and the country.

Democrats in Congress really have no alternative but to start impeachment hearings. If Republicans won’t cooperate then the public will ultimately decide in the 2020 elections. Based upon the midterm results does the GOP really want to tie themselves to a known liar and someone who will be charged with numerous crimes once out of office?

@Shaun: "Trump can not be removed from office because republicans control the senate."

True and that puts the GOP between a rock and a political hard place. But for Democrats, the Oval Office may be preferable over a jail cell to contain Trump through 2020, cynical as that sounds.

Mueller is not close to finished his investigation and as the indictments reach higher up the family tree and org-charts, it will take time to negotiate possible deals and process any new evidence and testimony turn-coats give up. There will be a steady drip-drip-drip that will be harder and harder for Republicans to continue to condone/excuse without reducing the GOP to a quirky 3rd party.

Even if Mueller is removed prematurely, many of the same players will likely face state-level charges, charges in foreign jurisdictions, and civil lawsuits. Meanwhile, at least 3 House committees will be holding hearings that will unpack all of this in granular detail for the American people.

Republicans have only themselves to blame as this was all foreseeable.
Let's not forget, possible criminality is but one reason the GOP should not have nominated such an erratic and cartoonishly incompetent candidate.

This article lines up the dots connecting President Trump to crimes and to Russia. It also shows that Mueller is corroborating Michael Cohen's story through documents.

President Trump's attacks on his former friends are creating cooperating witnesses for Robert Mueller.

Mueller has been playing chess, on a Bobby Fischer scale. Trump doesn't know from which side the next issue is coming from. He feels the noose tightening, but all he can do is shout "No Collusion", now in all caps. He's convincing no one but himself and a few sycophants in his base and FOX. Sad.

Trump can not be removed from office because republicans control the senate.

Not at the moment, perhaps. BUT if enough good Americans become enraged by what we may soon be learning, there just might be enough pressure from their constituents to cause even the most extreme right wing Senators to do what they should do.

    We can hope.

I await with bemused anticipation the many new myths and fables that Trump defenders will now lay out for our inspection that will rebut/refute/redirect attention from the latest Mueller findings. Creationism is not only a spurned theory of the creation of the Earth, but also a favorite mechanism to defend the President, manufacture new, novel fictions to excuse illegal/immoral/unethical behavior.

They say where there is smoke there is fire. With this latest reveal of criminal activity, I am seeing a forest fire. The likes of which we have not seen as a country since1974.

To all the Individual-1 supporters, a simple question:

Why would Russia, our enemy, want to see Individual-1 elected President?
