Why, if BYU is such an insignificant program in the eyes of ute fans, do they spend so much time here? Let's face it BYU's Football team is mediocre at best this year and would probably be described better as poor, maybe just a bit better than last year. I'm as big a fan of the Cougs as anyone out there. Even I know that they will be very lucky to get any kind of post season bowl bid. If they have to beat the utes to get bowl eligible, well, there's always next year. It seems to me that no matter the accomplishments of the utes, their fans will always consider themselves second to the Cougs, at least that's my take. It must be hard to have the Cougs live rent free in their heads during football season, if not all year long. I wish the utes good luck, tough break losing their senior QB last week.

It's fun to play run and gun ball. But don't forget the other end boys. That's where you really earn the big W. As the season goes on we will see how disciplined this group can be. Will both ends play out like they should? Let's see how Coach Rose and his group handles these and other aspects of the game this year.

“As for the Cougars? Pencil them in as the No. 11 seed in the South Region, that is if they can defeat the Alabama Crimson Tide in one of the ‘First Four’ bouts.

Dobbertean has BYU as one of his final four teams in the tourney, along with Nebraska, Illinois State and Alabama.

Notably, that is if Dobbertean is proven to be the Nostradamus of the 2018-19 college basketball season, Utah is one of the first four teams out of the tourney, along with Louisville, Houston and St. Johns”

After missing a couple of seasons, it would be great to see BYU back in the Big Dance.

2nd to Gonzaga in the WCC would be a nice improvement.

Saturday's game will help for the Coug's bowl eligibility. They should cruise to a comfortable victory. Somewhere in the 31-7 final score range would be a nice and needed step forward.

From a Ute fan-best of luck for the remainder of the season (notwithstanding November 24th).

BYU will most likely escape UMass with a W and get a 3rd tier bowl that nobody will watch. BYU hoops has ZERO chance going to "the dance."
