McAdams will side with the Liberal Mob in Washington. It's a fact.

Pelosi and Waters no sooner represent Utah's values than oil and water. Any Republican/Moderate votes for McAdams will sorely be mistaken in a matter of months.

I find it very interesting that Republicans are horrified with things Ben McAdams says and does and then it accept it when Love does worse things. Wake up. All politicians are corrupt, not just the Democrats!!

I agree, Mia needs to go!

Isn't that what you and others said about Orrin Hatch for 40 years?

BTW, Mia hasn't really done anything for the people of Utah.

Ben McAdams could find reasonable support for any office at the local or state level in Utah, especially if he ran as an independent or a Republican. But I do not want a Democrat from Utah in Congress. The national Democratic party spends most of its time generating tribal warfare by putting together a collection of special interests, much counter-culture, comprising votes, but not national interest.

The challenge to Mia Love's use of funds openly derived for the use of her campaign(s), primary or final is a blatant abuse, a bunch of hooey. It represents a contrived, malevolent distraction rather than an address of issues.

The House of Representatives is a 435 member body and it is hard to make much of a difference as an individual. But the office can be a stepping stone to something of more significance. My guess is that this is the McAdams interest. Better for Love to prevail here and let Ben work towards the greater good at home.

I have heard Ben describe himself as a "Progressive." But "Progressive" was a transitional word from "Communist" just a few decades ago. I think he is better principled than that. What we need are some "Benevolent Moderate Conservatives."

Mia Love is without question one of the most honorable people I know. She has worked hard for Utah. She may not be the best at getting word out about her accomplishments, but the information is readily available for those who seek it. It's refreshing to have someone like Mia who cares more for working hard than bragging about her accomplishments. She already has introduced (and passed) more bills than many who have served longer than she has in Congress. She deserves another term to continue the work she has started.

When Ben moves into the district I will consider what he says.

    =======

    1. Once Prop 4 passes,
    and gerrymandering is made illegal
and an independent committee redraws the districts
Ben McAdams will BE in his district - like he was before the ridiculous GOP redraw.

    2. Orrin Hatch isn't from Utah, and merely owns a 2 bedroom condo in SLC [for a mailing address purposes only],
he lives in & owns 2 houses in Virginia and Pennsylvania,
yet that hasn't stopped you for 42 years voting for him.

Hats off to investigative work by KSL that uncovered that the group that filed the FEC complaint against Love has ties to McAdams.

This unfounded October surprise initiated by the Alliance for a Better Utah was calculated to inflict major damage to Rep Mia Love's reelection and personal integrity. KSL noted these telling points:

"The investigation initiated by the FEC has not once used the words “criminal” or “illegal”. Instead, the FEC simply sent a letter to Love’s campaign asking for “additional information” about the funds she raised during the 2018 Primary election . . .

"But only that second investigation, made in response to Better Utah’s complaint, uses language like “criminal penalties”, and the only documents we’ve been able to find that refer to Love’s investigation as “criminal” have been written by Better Utah and not the FEC themselves. . . .

"Better Utah has made it clear [they] know exactly how long these investigations take.

"When Love, during the debate on Monday, said that she had received a phone call from the FEC clearing her, Better Utah’s Chase Thomas refuted her claim, telling Deseret News that FEC complaints normally take 'years to resolve.'"

I don’t know if the McAdams campaign and the Alliance for a Better Utah are joined at the hip or not. What I do know is that once the FEC’s General Counsel Office takes the almost unprecedented step of issuing a written statement that Love’s campaign “is not required to take any corrective action,” it is disingenuous, if not dishonest, for the McAdams campaign out of one side of its mouth to be saying it had nothing to do with the filing of the complaint but out of the other side of its mouth, trying to do everything it can to keep the issue alive and repeatedly arguing that the FEC statement isn’t what it obviously is. I had hoped for better from the McAdams campaign.

    McAdams and Love.
Both of you stop all of the negative campaign ads trashing each other. It makes many of us not want to vote for either one of you. We are more interested in your position on challenges our country is facing. You negative ads also turn off a lot of young people to voting at all.

Both of the two major political parties are corrupt, unethical, and don’t have the country’s best interests at heart. They both are more concerned with scoring political wins that do nothing to solve the multitude of problems facing the nation. The two major parties have been overrun by extremists and don’t reflect the majority of the citizenry.

More people identify as independents than either the republican or democratic parties and the number of independents is growing. It’s time for a moderate/sane third party to emerge.

Once again, people think they know what liberals want. And they put it out there as though it was fact, which it isn't.
Liberals do not advocate for open borders. To say that they do is to either deliberately spread falsehood, or to be ignorant of the facts. Giving you the benefit of the doubt, we can conclude you are just ignorant of the facts, because your sources of information are in fact deliberately trying to make you mad and scare you with baloney.
Liberals do not want children, including infants, separated from their parents who came to America seeking asylum, which is not illegal.
Hillary, as a private citizen, has a right to donate to any campaign, just as you do. Do you know who is donating to Mia's campaign? Most of Ben's money is coming from private citizens in Utah. I would like to know where Mia's money is coming from, but thanks to Citizens United, the most corrupt law ever devised in this country, we citizens cannot know where or who PAC
money comes from. It's a secret.
It's pretty hard for private citizens to compete with huge corporate donations. It's David and Goliath. We citizens are David.
    Who is Mia beholden to?

I have come to believe (this article about Love-McAdams being a perfect case in point) that this Democrat strategy of lying no matter what facts are presented to the public, is now the Democrat norm. They know that if they keep up a lie........no matter what facts are presented, that some people will believe them. It's so dishonest and so disingenuous!

"The email released Thursday states that the analyst, Mike Dobi, 'correctly informed you of our analysis and conclusion and properly advised that Friends of Mia Love is not required to take any corrective action regarding the primary election contributions at issue.'

"The email was written by Danita Aberico, a compliance advice attorney in the FEC's policy division general counsel's office."

This works for me too!!!! Go Mia!

"Roberts said that the email released by Love 'is not a decision by the FEC and does not exonerate her. The criminal complaint against Ms. Love is still an open matter.'"

What would it take for McAdams' campaign manager, Andrew Roberts, to move on this close to the election?

McAdams cannot debate the issues: the economy, impeachment, taxes, boarder security, abortions, health care, defense, and the second Admendment and win. He has to turn to charges and countercharges of mischief in a vain hope of distracting voters from how he will act in Congress. He is using the old Democrat play book of switch and bait, deny, combined with smoke and mirrors. It helps him that the MSM are his willing accomplices. The pollsters and the DN keep calling and hoping for a close race, just like in 2016 when Hillary was a shoe in to win, and we know how that worked out. I wonder if the news media will say anything when Love wins by over 10%, no, won’t hold my breath.

So money raised before convention can be kept according to her lawyers

After convention they should have stopped raising money but didn't, or they should have re-designated the money within 60 days .... but didn't

The question isn't if Love raised money improperly (she did) but how much was improper

    3 options

    1. All $1.3m raised for primary was improper

    2. Any raised after the 3/15 filing deadline when she knew there was no challenger was improper

    3. Any raised after the 4/21 convention confirmation was improper

Love argues for 3, FEC has not yet formally ruled but her lawyers claim they agree

Still minimum of an improper $300k she didn't re-designate when she should have and had to be called on by FEC

So not a question of IF Love raised funds improperly, just a question of how much and after what date was improper

Is Ben McAdams going to support the Dems in diluting the Supreme Court with more judge seats? - No because the Repubs control the House the Senate and the WH

Is Ben McAdams going to support the Dems impeachment of President Trump?- Do you think he's going to be impeached?

Is Ben McAdams going to support the Dems in diluting Congress with more Senate and House seats for California, and New York? - Each state is allowed 2 SENATORS and no more. House is apportioned based on population.

Is Ben McAdams going suppoort the Dems that abortion is a form of birth control? The Supreme court has already ruled (40 years ago) on abortion

Is Ben McAdams going to support the Dems border-less country policy? - When is Trump going to propose a Canadian wall?

Is Ben McAdams going to support the Dems with more Federal control of Utah lands? -The Feds already control ALL OF THE FEDERAL land within Utah

For sure, Mia Love isn't going to do any of this dumb stuff. - No she's not going to do anything. Just like she's done for the last 4 years.

It is all dirty $. We need to get all the special interest $ out of our elections and return them to the people. Where is the will of the American people and backbone of Congress to make this happen?

Elected officials that have to spend all their time fundraising aren't doing the job they were elected to do. Newcomers that might be great candidates do not have the money for a fair fight. Also, when these outside groups fund you, you have to deliver their message and wishes. This is part of what is corrupting our democracy and elections. It is something we could put an end to.
