The receivers keep getting blamed for dropped passes. The real problem needs to be addressed:

Tyler Huntley got pardoned for throwing a 1 yard bullet when a soft little touch pass would have resulted in a touchdown - because the receiver would have actually had a chance to catch the pass! Instead, Huntley chucks it as hard as he can and then throws up his hands in awe that the receiver didn't catch his 1-yard laser!

    And Coach Whitt allows this!

Allows the receivers to keep taking the heat, instead of actually addressing why the pass was dropped. Don't forget the ball thrown way too hard and over the head of the receiver on the previous play. (These are just a sampling of the throws illustrating Huntley's inability for simple touch passes.)

Correct and coach up Huntley around this glaring issue, and we should be able to finally start congratulating the receivers for how great they're performing instead of shifting the blame on them for "dropping" Huntley's "burn out" type throws from 1 yard away!

Unfortunately for them even this team from the hill can find a way to lose next week.

    Wow!
How the proud and mighty have fallen! Cheer up my doom and gloom Ute friends, there is absolutely no way the Utes can lose this weekend! Looks like your bye week came at a very good time, time for recovery for the injured like Covey and some soul searching to fix the offense problems!

Offensively, however, Utah is a mess. There are positives — the O-line was improved and the running game was more than serviceable — but for whatever reason the Utes failed to execute when they needed to the most.

    -----

    The reason: Huntley

Taylor called 74% of the plays for Huntley, the 3rd best option on the offense after Covey and Moss.

Utah has one of the very best, if not the best field goal kicker in College Football.
Yet, 3 x's they chose not to kick a field goal on 4th down and went for the first down.
    All 3 attempts failed.
Please, I beg you UTAH, please start making better offensive decisions.
Its getting very hard to watch!!!

You could really just copy and paste this and use it after every Utah game, win or lose.

at some point they have recruit an offense, a qb that can throw the ball and corps of backs that can catch it.
but as long as we get a bowl bid it's all good right?

It is disappointing to see the same team as last year and the year before and . . . Better than average defense and poor offense. After all these years I would expect improvements on offense and still not seeing it. At least the Utes know what to work on fixing. Go Utes!

I'm really sick and tired of this same old song and dance. Solid defense and unproductive predictable offense. The Coach Whitt signature. I hope our shiny new AD doesn't let him blame it on anothe OC. Time for a new HC.
