london_josh,I'm very aware of what's going on, thank you.
Colorado's only decent win was against Nebraska, but even that wasn't
that great of a win since they lost to Troy this last weekend. I would dare to
say that Utah's win over NIU was a better win as NIU is supposed to win the
MAC. And I actually watched the BYU Arizona game. BYU played decent,
but Arizona played TERRIBLE defense and Tate has an obvious lower leg injury
that they were trying to hide, but that has seriously altered their offensive
gameplan which hasn't worked. Tate can't throw all game, especially
not deep balls every other play. Besides, Arizona got hammered by Houston the
next week. And that might be an understatement because I watched a lot of that
game also. And if you want to hype up Cal to make that loss sting a
little less, go ahead I guess. They narrowly beat a sad NC team(NC had the last
possession that could have tied the game and got pretty deep in Cal territory
before Cal could stop them. Watched parts of that game too.) and they beat Idaho
St, but by the end of conference play, they will probably be 5-7 and that
won't be considered a "quality loss."We'll see how
that prediction pans out lol
JD,go look up the scores of what's actually happened and
happening on ESPN and maybe you can formulate an opinion based on reality or
results.just so you know, here is what's actually going on
right now:in the PAC South the best team right now, but a pretty
good margin in terms of looks and record and performance, is Colorado, all other
teams have at least one loss and Utah and USC have conference losses. Arizona
will certainly struggle, however BYU didn't barely beat them as you
suggested, look at the game instead of guess. In the North only 2
teams have losses, and Washington's loss was a very respectable loss to
Auburn. Cal is perfect so far and has played a P5 and a P5 equivalent. As for BYU and Washington, let me make a prediction - BYU will lose the game
but will score more than one offensive touchdown during the game and BYU will
make it into a game. It's actually been a really exciting season
so far, maybe you should try get out of our heads and try and watch some of
It's really funny to see all these coug fans pounding their chests about
how bad the Pac supposedly is and how Utah lost and byu won.. blah blah blah..
didn't you guys just lose to Cal, a perennial bottom dweller in the Pac 12,
and you barely beat a sad Arizona team? Also, remember that you guys still have
to play Washington too, so these comments will probably come back to bite you
after you lose to them. Washington won't overlook you like Wisconsin did,
and it could get ugly
Uteology,In your reply to somebody saying that you are spinning
facts and numbers - you use BYU's 2017 numbers to Utah's 2018
numbers. The reality is that everybody who reads your frequent posts
knows that you do that. You can be passionate about your team -
that's totally acceptable. I recognize that often I'm wearing blue
goggles looking at things, and I complain about officials sometimes and like
stats to promote my team - so I'm not calling you out on it but rather your
inability to have self-recognition and the hilarious irony that you showed using
past BYU numbers in your rebuttal.2017 Utah was clearly better than
BYU on many levels. This is 2018, this article isn't about BYU, and while
people love to compare the games BYU and Utah have played have been very
different thus far. We can't equate Weber to Arizona or NIU to Cal nor
Wiscy to Washington. Both teams are 2-1, and even when BYU plays common
opponents it's still not comparable until BYU plays Utah at the end of
November - a game Utah has won 7 straight years now which makes Utah the better
program in the head to head. As a BYU fan I hope that changes this year - but
arguing about it today is pointless.
UteologyIt's not hard to find your excuses about the refs with
the targeting calls in that particular article.
JimmyDeester - West Jordan, UTSept. 16, 2018 9:33 p.m.Bleedcougarblueoh Uteology has made excuses alright. you just have

article and what excuses did I make? Otherwise stop with the fake news.Utah got out coached and the offense was pathetic as usual. Prove I
said anything different anywhere else.
phoenix - Gilbert, AZSept. 16, 2018 8:20 p.m.utemythology Spin it anyway that helps you sleep at night,, but Utah’s offense versus
NIU and Washington was absolutely pathetic.Using inflated stats from
your meaningless win over Weber State to pad Utah’s averages isn’t
fooling anybody.-------------You got punked by math and
that's all you got?Newsflash, D2 #10 Weber State doesn't
inflate Utah's stats anymore than BYU vs 0-10 Portland State.Take away both D2 teams and our Ute offense still isn't as pathetic as
2017 BYU at 6.5 PPG and Utah 8.5 PPG.
Holy cow, everybody needs to chill out. An unranked Utah team competes most of
the game with a Top 10 Washington team, has some key mistakes and turnovers and
everybody is calling the whole season a bust and to fire everybody? CHILL OUT.
Unless you're Alabama, every team this year will play and lose some games
because they didn't execute well or had a couple turnovers, it's just
football. I'm appalled by all the "Utah fans" turning on this team
and coaching staff when the Pac-12 South is very much so still in reach.
Ya'll are acting like Washington isn't a good team lol. I hope you all
have a come to Jesus moment and realize that the Utes aren't going to be
12-0 every year. Was Saturday night frustrating? Absolutely. In fact, the most
frustrating part is that we had so many chances but fumbled the ball or had a
costly hold, etc. in key situations. These are 18-24 year old kids busting their
butt. Doesn't mean they won't fumble or make a mistake every now an
again. Or even just get beat by a better, top 10 team. Get over yourselves. The
Utes will be just fine and I still see them competing for the Pac-12 South.
I am looking for a place to add a comment about the strength and power of the
PAC-12 conference. Perhaps this is that place? USC lost to Texas;
UCLA lost to Fresno State; Oregon State lost to Nevada; Arizona State lost to
San Diego State; Washington defeated Utah; Stanford defeated UC Davis; Cal beat
Idaho State; Arizona beat Southern Utah, Colorado beat New Hampshire. Washington
State beat Eastern Washington, and Oregon beat San Jose State. It
appears to me that Washington was the only PAC-12 university that played an
institution of comparable quality, although Texas may be recovering. Am I
missing something or did last season's bowl results in which Utah was the
only winner indicate that the PAC-12 just might be a little overrated? Perhaps
Utah does have the opportunity to run the table against the southern division?
Best of Luck, Utah!
@Uteology - East Salt Lake City, UtahSept. 16, 2018 1:59 p.m."According to Sagarin, the weakest P5 division is the Big 10 West where
Wisconsin, Purdue, and Nebraska all lost to 3 TD underdogs at home."I see. So what you are saying is, "We are bad, but not as bad as
those guys."I'm throwing stones at the argument, not the
team. Utah will be fine. They won't be going to the PAC championship
game, but they will win 7 games and go to a bowl. Status quo.
@UteologyWe love how you follow BYU so closely.Keep it up,
your obsession with all things BYU is quite telling. The Rivalry will never
die in your mind.#Big brother drives you....
Maybe Utah should play someone decent in preseason to get them ready...like most
big time programs do. Easy opening games...this is on U. If you
ant to be a big time program, act like one. Otherwise 4th in the south (as
usual) is going to keep happening.
Tough loss. Utah’s D was tough and did everything they could to keep the
score from blowing up. Covey was tough too, he took a beating and kept getting
back up.Washington’s D was incredible. No shame there.
Covey played lights out. Can't say enough good things about him, his
toughness was remarkable even when the QB hung him out to take brutal hits over
and over again.Somebody needs to figure out what's wrong with
the coaching staff. Why is there some aversion to an offensive focus?11 OCs and nothing changes, but nothing will change with the HC - so
what's the issue? Why can the defense rotate in strong players
like it's Alabama and stay strong all day long while the offense has 3
stars, 1 of which has bad ankles and I can't imagine that Covey isn't
seriously banged up after that game. Chase Hansen is amazing -
brilliant to place him on defense - but Utah's offense needs help and
always does, so why didn't he stay on offense?Utah has
unlimited depth on defense and offense has a QB, WR and RB - 2 of 3 need to rest
up from injury and the QB might need to be changed.Hope they find
their groove, the PAC S is wide open this year, but the things that need to be
fixed at Utah go very very deep and might be hard to change.
UteologyAh, living in the past eh? So I guess that's
utah's thing now.

Maybe the PAC 12 south isn’t the worst division in the P5 but the PAC 12
is worse than the Mt. West. And I don’t care about computer
rankings. Take it from someone who watches way too much football on Saturdays.
The eye test tells me the South is horrible except for the Utes.I
think if the Utes can fix some things on offense they will give Washington or
Stanford all they can handle in a championship game. But don’t
kid yourself to say the south is a strong division.
Mr. Boris - Layton, UTSept. 16, 2018 12:46 p.m.Ute fans,Don't worry. You will get another shot at Washington in the PAC 12

people to take you seriously.According to Sagarin, the weakest P5
division is the Big 10 West where Wisconsin, Purdue, and Nebraska all lost to 3
TD underdogs at home.
Why anyone would want to be a Ute is beyond me. In all the time they have been
in the Pac-12, they have never ever been close to winning even the South
Division, let alone, the Conference title. But there is a team in Utah that is
a winning, that wins big games and soon very soon, will add one more lose to the
Ute ledger... Yep you guessed it... BYU. The end of the era is coming. The
seven year itch and a loss for Utah is about to happen. You say in my dreams...
I say yes in my dreams... I've been dreaming about this for seven years now
and its about to happen for Utah and the start of the new era: BYU 1 win, Utah
I love Britain Covey. He is the toughest dude I've seen in a very long
time. He would never say it out loud because he's such a great kid, but how
could he not be upset with Huntley right now. I've never seen a QB throw a
receiver into coverage and leave him hanging out to dry more than Huntley did.
Brian Griese perfectly described the issues with Huntley...and if he sees it,
then P5 DCs will see it as well.I said from day one Tuttle will
finish this year out for Utah. After what I saw last night, I hope for U
fans' sake, and Covey's sake, that I'm right. Utah has gone as
far as they will go with Huntley...the guy is just not a good passer, and
doesn't seem to know the difference between man and zone coverage, or
whether its 2 or 3 deep zone. Time to look at options, even if it means growing
pains with a talented freshman.
utemythology “One miracle win in 20 years and BYU is now ready
for Alabama?”Jealous Ute fans are the ONLY ones talking about
Alabama. But, much to the chagrin of the kids on the hill, BYU is a
Top 25 team.Bbtw, when was the last time Utah beat a Top 6 team on
the road.Hint: NEVER
This loss was clearly the fault of the refs. On Tonga's fumble, if you
isolate the sound, you can clearly here the line judge from the opposite
sideline yell "BOO!" a split-second before he bounces the ball off his
hip. This was clearly a Pac-12 conspiracy to prop up the feeble hopes of an
appearance in the CFP!But on a serious note, it's time to
acknowledge that winning the Sugar Bowl was the worst thing that has happened to
the Utah program. Ten years later it's mired in perpetual mediocrity with
an overpaid and overrated coach who has a tendency to make awful in-game
decisions and not have his team prepared for big games (too many examples to
list them all, but let's start with the '11 game vs Colorado).
Hundreds of thousands of Utah alumni buried in student loan debt, but this clown
makes $3+ million a year to put a losing product on the field, just because his
team won the Sugar Bowl a decade ago. Enjoy more years of the same thing
until you get smart and move on to a real coach.
@ MikeVike66 - St. George, UT - Sept. 16, 2018 2:51 a.m. - "The Utes hung in
there and scrapped hard. There is no shame to lose at home by a couple
touchdowns to the 10th ranked team in the nation. Come on, I'd say
it's kind of a moral victory for us."My comment: "moral
victories"? I have it on good authority (that would be, from Utah fans) that
the mighty Utes don't ever have, or believe in, or need, and I quote,
"moral victories."I'd give this "moral victory"
to you but your own fans have said you don't need 'em.See
you in November!
I'm a Cougar fan, but I don't think most of you Ute fans are keeping
perspective on what just happened last night. Utah's defense is still
ferocious. Dropped passes aren't the fault of the OC or HC; neither are
penalties. The most serious penalties called by the refs were bad calls for
targeting, and I thought they were game changers. No coach is to blame for the
DT running alone toward the end zone with an intercepted pass who then fumbles
the ball out of bounds without being touched. You're going to win the
Pac-12 South. Your only weakness, as far as I can see, is that you lack the
deep threats and big physical receivers to get open against defenses like
Washington's. Covey looks to have a pinched nerve/neck injury that
manifests as very painful shoulder pain; and he needs to get the ball in space
only so he can protect himself better. Otherwise he's going to get hurt
badly (herniated cervical disk, if that hasn't already happened). But
Washington's defense is the best you'll face this year, and your
defense is as good as theirs. If you play Washington again, 50% chance
you'll beat them.
Ute fans,Don't worry. You will get another shot at Washington
in the PAC 12 championship game. The PAC 12 south is by far the weakest
division of any P5 conference.Arizona beats an FCS team.Arizona St. loses to a Mt. West team.Colorado beats an FCS team.UCLA gets blown out by a Mt. West team.USC gets blown out by a bad Big
12 team. It's a good thing Colorado and Arizona didn't play
Mt. West teams or the division might have went 0-6 for the day.And
Utah looked the best against the best competition. Washington is a really good
team and the Utes had their chances. I don't see Utah losing another game
until the PAC 12 championship game. Their toughest remaining game is BYU but I
still give the edge to the Utes in that game. And as a side note from
a BYU fan, Covey is the toughest player pound for pound in college football and
I wish he was on my team.
"Is it too early to start crowning the Utes pac12 champs in 2019 yet
........"Clearly meant to be sarcastic - but I think Utah will
be in the game against all teams but one in the PAC-S. Best defense by a mile,
and the other offenses are soft. Except Colorado. Call me crazy, but
I think Utah gets 2nd or 3rd place and Colorado wins. They are the only team to
consistently put up a lot of points on the board. Utah's probably capable
of 13 points in most games, unlikely to go beyond 20 - but they can hold
opponents to half the regular tally. That's not gonna cut it against
Colorado putting up 45 in most games. The season will be like drunks
fighting, anything can happen - but somehow Utah needs to keep covey and moss
healthy - easier said than done!
JimmyDeester - West Jordan, UTSept. 16, 2018 9:01 a.m.Washington

South.----LOLOne miracle win in 20 years and

#10 Stanford, #6 Alabama, #7 TCU.Speaking of glorified G5, ie B10
West, Nebraska lost at home to Troy, Purdu lost at home to Eastern Michigan, and
Wisconsin to #78 BYU.
Covey should retire before he gets seriously injured. He’s got
a big heart, but he’s just too small to be playing against teams like
Washington.I’m shocked that he wasn’t carted off the
field after a couple of the hits he took.

had plenty of chances to win this game. But when you go 0-3 from Washington 35
you don't deserve to win.Credit goes to Washington and the
blame goes to Whittingham and his inability to field a P12 offense.
PAC 12 took it on the chin yesterday. Winning the south might be like winning

The way to describe Utah's lose: Self destructed.
Utah fans...because of the playoff system your season is over. One loss and
you're out...Unless you reside in the SEC or BIG10. I know you're
tempted to say, ""Hey we can still the the South or still even the PAC
12." I know but where will it get you? 99% chance nowhere. Utah
you proved any team can win on any night (Sugar Bowl). Now even that's
eliminated. The blood of college football has been kidnapped. The playoffs are
now decided by a think tank instead of on the field. A conference
championship needs to mean something. It needs to mean a berth in the playoffs.
Anything less and you're no better than BYU and Independence. Even the Rose
Bowl isn't exciting any more. The emperor does not have clothes on and we
need to start pointing that out instead of pretending. Become an
"independent" voice in the football world, campaign for a true playoff
Why would I think Utah is lucky to have a bye this week? They somehow always
seem to get it when they need it most. Hopefully they will use the time
wisely, but after last week's poor performance we were assured by coaches
and sportswriters that U were on track. Sorry, that was a dream, not reality.
Everyone saying U can win the PAC12 South better take a good hard look at
Colorado. I think they might win it. I doubt U will. In fact, if U don't
get the offense fixed, you'll not go bowling this year and that would make
3 years in the PAC will no bowl game, which at the moment is a strong
Utah’s offensive game plan was terrible. Moss only got 13 carries and
Shyne only got 2. Gaskin had 30. Relying on Huntley’s arm to beat one of
the best secondary’s in college football is not smart.
Winter is Coming - Bountiful, UTSept. 14, 2018 10:26 p.m.“Who's going to get the worse defeat?BYU or
Utah?”BYU is a 22.5 point underdog. Utah is a 5 point underdog
playing at home with an elite defense going against a mediocre Washington
offense. The professionals all agree that BYU is going to get thoroughly housed,
and it won’t be all that close. On the other hand, Utah has a
legitimate chance at an upset.
I’m not on the “Fire The Coaches” train—yet. But I can’t be the only one to think that Huntley has reached his
ceiling. So unless Shelley gets a shot at Wazzu, or Huntley suddenly shows he
can walk the walk of his celebrated self-confidence, I’ll buy a ticket.
USC and Utah, the preseason PAC South favorites...are currently tied
for last in the division.
I am a ute fan excepting one game of the year. The ites will be back next week.
This is a very athletic and talented group. They very rarely have two games like
this in a row. They will rebound and be stronger. Washington is a great team
that forces other teams to make mistakes. Let's come back next week Utes.
Not being there hard to comment, but I thought I was seeing a new kind of pass
defense. Not only let the receiver catch the ball, but invite him to do so.
Then lunge a large body into the upper torso. Follow this with another large
body flying into the legs. Be ready to scope up the fumbled ball, and off to
the races. Math previously said that if one receiver is double teamed there
should be someone else open. Since Covey is like fly paper, isn't it
possible to throw to someone else? I do not understand the "targeting
rule" but I thought it was to protect the cranial region from being rung too
hard. Has Covey had an MRI since last night?
Between last year's football season & this one just begun, the common
thread for theUtes is that the offense stinks.I was truly hoping
that Troy Taylor's offensive game would change the Utes much for the
better. So far, I see little evidence of that working.I'd like
Troy Taylor to succeed at Utah. But if he can, when will it happen?Whether it's because he's just the offensive coordinator, or
he's a tier above where he can make his system work, or something else, I
don't know. But I don't see it working.Since Kyle
Whittingham has been the head football coach at Utah, he has had difficulty in
finding an offensive coordinator who can consistently do the job. Whether
it's because of Whit, or because of the offensive coordinators he's
had, it's hard for me to tell. But sadly, the one offenive coordinator I
hoped would make the offense work right, doesn't seem to be.Whether Huntley passed the ball too hard,, or the wide receivers haven't
learned how to catch & hold onto a ball, they dropped passes far too often
last night to win.And why doesn't Huntley give the ball to Zack
Moss more? He was averaging over 5 yds gained/run last night! So far,
Troy Taylor isn't doing it.
What a sad showing.
The story is the same no matter who the OC is "solid defense, poor
offense". This nonsense keeps repeating and repeating. This is Coach Whitt.
Hopefully Harlan sees.
Washington looked rather soft and beatable against an extremely weak and scared
ute team. Pac is looking like a glorified G6 team, but we kinda knew that before
last year. Nothing new here, but if you want to see what it's like to beat
one of the best teams in the country you just need to look a little farther
I love my Utes. I love the fact that they are so consistent. They have mastered
the "game plan" of success for losing in the PAC-12.1)Too many
Turnovers2)Questionable play calling3)Stupid penalties at key
moments4)Dropped passes 5)Poor QB play/decision makingIt's getting old hearing the same excesses because it's still the
same things that happen each game. Regardless, I am a UTAH man and I will cheer
for this team through good and bad. It would be nice, however, if we could throw
away the "game plan" for once and win the division. We have the talent,
just not the focus.
"Yes. Fire Troy Taylor. Moss averages 5.2 yards per carry and gets only 13
carries. FIVE in the second half!! Taylor must go. Or Whit if he can’t get
it fixed."Nobody can fix a team where the heart and soul goes to
the defense. Moss has 2 bad ankles from that game. Utah
has no depth in offense? I know the" pac team recruiting and next man up
" bravado is kind of fun to say, but Utah has 3 individuals who can move a
ball and they all got slaughtered last night, 2 of which will likely be impacted
for the games to come. That's because it goes to moss, or covey, or Huntley
every play. The team dynamic needs to change before anything
Is it too early to start crowning the Utes pac12 champs in 2019 yet ........
Same thing year after year. Big pre-season hype. No offense at all. Excuses.
Mediocre bowl game. Repeat.Sad part (good part?) is that the pac 12
south is so pathetic, even Utah could still win it with this pathetic play.Oh and coaches, Covey needs his brain to work after football is over.
Time to re-think the play calling.
BYU fan here. Hey, one bad game. Doesn’t make the season. Too bad it
was at home, but there’ll be another day. Kyle will use this to light a
fire under his boys. Look what his protege did today after Cal beat the Cougs
in Provo last week. The Utes will torment plenty of Pac 12 teams before the
year is out.
I don't get it. Troy Taylor didn't throw the interception, fumble
twice, or miss open receivers in the red zone. Neither did any of the previous
fired offensive coordinators. Yet we scream fire him, them. Kyle
always has and will continue to get good athletes then put them all on
defense.I still think Utah wins the South because it isn't P5
quality at all. Not one team is better than an average non P5 team.Who would have thought that at this time in the season BYU would be more
talked about than the Utes because their season is better. Could change should
change but who really knows.
I disagree... Troy Taylor didin't drop the ball, it was the receivers....
Fire Coach Holiday, he's the receiving coach.... we couldn't catch a
cold that way our receivers played.
Disappointing loss for the Utes for sure. I stayed up late to watch hoping they
would pull an upset but sadly it wasn't to be. At least I was thrilled the
other two teams I followed, BYU and Virginia, both did well, especially my
Cougars! What a game that was! Good luck going forward Utes!
When your receivers can’t catch and your QB can’t throw, it’s
hard to win games.
"FIRE TROY TAYLOR"Yea..that's what we need... 8
OC's in 10 seasons. It's time to start looking at
something...someone else. Utah Football teams haven't been
prepared to play for many seasons now.
I’d bench your QB. Covey and other receivers were lucky to get out of that
game alive. Those passes were dangerous.
Well, the Utes ended up with LESS offense than University of North Dakota
against Washington. Well done again, Whit. Your offense has proved offensive
again. I fail to understand why Whittingham continues to get let by
without taking the blame. He is truthfully a wonderful defensive coach and for
some reason an offense destroyer. I thought Cougar fans were
delusional by living off of the Championship team, but Ute fans are proving
worse by insisting Whittingham is "best we can get"
We were told "the fixes are in" which apparently isn't exactly
accurate. Utah hasn't defeated a P5 team yet this year (they've only
played one of them, and at home at that) but there is a local team that has two
victories over P5 teams, one of them having been ranked as a Top 10 team, that
they played on the road. Gosh, guess who that is?State is rolling,
The Utes have not had a decent quarterback since Alex Smith. They
have limped along, and that no longer cuts it.Whittingham
can’t seem to hire the right person. How have the Utes seen
absolutely no offensive progress all these years?
Whittingham has to be the worst offensive coach in the PAC-12 He
can’t even hire a decent coordinator (how many has he had?).This was an embarrassment
JD - Las Vegas, NVSept. 15, 2018 11:34 p.m.FIRE TROY TAYLOR-------------That hasn't been the solution the 10 other
times, I highly doubt that will solve Utah's offensive problems now.
Questionable calls on offense. The Utes had three very makable field goals
in the game but each time chose to got on 4th down.Had they kicked those
field goals and made them, they would have been within 5 points with more than 6
minutes remaining. Could have been a very different outcome.
Fire? Start over at the top, Kyle get your resume out. One losse and Ute
“fans” will be calling for your removal. They can’t help
JDHaving stayed up until the wee hours this morning watching the game. I
must respectfully disagree with you. The problem wasn't Coach Taylor or his
play calling. I put the blame squarely on the players shoulders! Total lack of
discipline and execution! I think Washington will lose at least two more games.
The good news for the Utes they still look like the best team or maybe second
best in the South division. I think it will come down to the winner of the
ASU-Utah game to decide who goes to the CCG this year!
I've already commented on this game. An overaggressive Ute team running up
against a disciplined Husky offense and defense. I don't watch the Utes
other than the Washington and BYU games, but I suspect they'll be looking
for a new OC again. This was an ugly game. I don't think the spearing was
intentional, but it seemed like the Utes were frantic and made mistakes. The
Husky defense looked tough, but the Washington offense was a two-man show. Of
course, a team with Gaskin is going to focus on him.
Swing and a miss by the crimson crew. Blackout, or strikeout?!
Are the Dawgs that good or....I guess we will see in two weeks. Tough loss.
The Utes hung in there and scrapped hard. There is no shame to lose at home by a
couple touchdowns to the 10th ranked team in the nation. Come on, I'd say
it's kind of a moral victory for us. This team almost beat Auburn. It shows
we can hang in there with good teams and not get blown out. Go Utes!
Utah started all three fourth quarter drives inside the Washington 35 yard line,
but went 0-of-3 on fourth down on each drive. The offense is absolutely
horrendous. On the only scoring drive, 7 carries by the RBs for 40 of
the 80 yards (5.7 per carry), Moss had 6 carries for 37. The rest of the game
RBs had only 8 carries for 42 yards (5.2 per carry).Troy Taylor
learned nothing from the NIU game.
My Utes were painful to watch. What a pathetic exhibition, looked
like a junior college or high school team. Dropped passes, fumbles,
interception, penalties, out coached, poor passing by QB, atrocious
officiating...Washington is a good team, but if Utah had any
playmaking ability and consistency there could have been a different result.
You learn more from losses than wins. Sorry, that's all I got!I
am disappointed it looks like any other season for the Utes, okay defense, below
average offense. But there is always hope. Maybe Washington is better than
expected this year and Utah will make huge improvements in the next two weeks of
practice. Go Utes!
Kyle Whittingham has run his course in the PAC 12. His offense is terrible and
for some reason he can't seem to find an OC that is worth a darn. Part of
coaching is hiring coaches that are going to be successful. So far, coach Whit
is failing. I am not sure why Coach Whit gets a pass while other coaches
(especially in power 5 conferences) get fired for much less. Whit is the
problem.I still think the Utes should win the PAC12 South because
the whole division stinks!!! If the Utes don't win the South then the
whole coaching staff needs to go!!!
If I were a ute fan, I wouldn't be concerned by what I saw this game. The
defensive line was dominating and offensive plunders are very fixable moving
into this next week. With the way asu and usc played, the pac-12 south is as
good as utah's. Utah will dominate moving forward.
Fire Whittingham and promote Troy Taylor
Two things made this game unwatchable: the Ute offense and the endless booth
review of what seemed like every play.
The Pac 12 South is a complete dumpster fire. If Utah can't win the South
this year they will never win it.
"FIRE TROY TAYLOR"Is that the problem?I know
this woman who's just gone through her 5th divorce and she's in her
late 30's - at some point you stop blaming the men. It's
Troy Taylor's beloved boss who is never going to be fired - he's the
problem and he's also the institution and the wisdom behind the defense and
special teams. so you fire him, and you lose what's strong at Utah.No doubt your request will come to fruition, it might be an NCAA record
for Whit on letting go so many OCs - each one, of course, was the problem
despite that the problem remained when they left.i'm sure the
guy after TT will get the offense on track, like all of the previous ones
have.I'm not saying this to take jabs at Utah football,
it's a serious problem and what makes it so horrible is that fans
(including myself) shutter at the thought of letting Whit go - it's a
horrible option - but clearly he is the problem.
Love watching Ute fans melt down..
QB position is weakShocker
Troy is following in Ty Detmers footsteps likely one and done
From a BYU fan, tough loss Utes. Better luck in your next game.
Yes. Fire Troy Taylor. Moss averages 5.2 yards per carry and gets only 13
carries. FIVE in the second half!! Taylor must go. Or Whit if he can’t
get it fixed.
The Pac 12 South is a dumpster fire. Utes still might be the best team in the
South. ASU is losing to SDSU right now. If Utah can't win the South this
year, they will never win it.
How many years will it take Whitt to get that elusive football team that can
execute, stop killing their own drives with mistakes, stop the fumbles and stop
the stupid errors. New year ---- same old problems. Utah doesn't even
have a good defense anymore. Good thing Utah didn't play BYU today.
In the last 6 out of 7 drives ended as TO: 2 fumbles, 1 INT, and 3 on downs (two
in red zone).Horriable game plan, Moss under used again with 13
carries, 8 came in the 1st quater despite the fact he ran for 5.2 per pop
(Gaskin had 4.8 on 30 carries).Utah's will start 0-3 in P12
with this offense.
Covey is a stud, and I wish we had him on our team. To bad he took such a
beating tonight. Huntley could have helped that with his passing.
Real Ute? Uteology? Chris B? ekute? Naval Vet? Brave Sir Robing? Got any
excuses now as to why your team just got crushed? This oughta be
Should have been a true blackout as in turn out the lights the party's
over. Best team in ute history according to Whittingham. Good grief, what a
complete and total mess.
