"No candidate in their right mind will ask Russia to hack for another candidate's emails. That would be extraordinarily foolish anyway."

True, but Donald Trump will seek help anyway he can get it. Vladimir Putin is his "go to" guy.

Maybe Kim Jong Un will help him the next time, too.

"The same liberals who think 'Fear' by Bob Woodward should be taken as gospel think and say that 'High Crimes and Misdemeanors. The Case Against Bill Clinton' by Ann Coulter was a 'hackjob and phony'. "

Did you read Bob Woodward's book? He has a credible record, in contrast to Ann Coulter, and is a legitimate journalist. Coulter is a wingnut propagandist with an agenda. She makes her money catering to the extreme Right-Wing writing the type of salacious material that they want. Fact are not important to Coulter.

Read what you want, When I read Coulter, I know I'm reading a Right-Wing screed that runs fast and loose with facts. She appeals to the prejudice and bias of her audience, gives them what they want, and does very well with her products. But, yes, they are a "hack job and phony". She's like Kellyanne Conway giving "alternate truth" to satisfy her readers with her opinions and xenophobic beliefs.

If people took to take the time and fact check Woodward, they would find the due diligence that characterizes every book he has written. Fact checking Coulter is a descent into mindless confusion.

Obama knew about Russian 'meddling' as early as March of 2016 and did nothing.

For every example that you can find to support your statement there's 10 examples of the liberal news media doing just the same. Spare me OK?

" . . . it's certain there is just as much disgusting sludge sloshing around in the other major party."

Be careful to not play "the other guy's just as bad" game. That's what Republicans do when backed into a corner. We have to investigate and find out, just like you're reading in Bob Woodward's book. Making unsupported accusations is the Donald Trump playbook. Many Trump supporters will claim how the Woodward book, 'Fear', is a hack job and phony, but they didn't read it. It is, for them, an automatic response to protect their Dear Leader.

Is the "swamp" better or worse than it was reported to be two years ago before Trump was elected? With all the scandal and corruption, it is much worse. That doesn't mean that politicians weren't corrupt then, only that more are corrupt now. Both Dems and Pubs cross the line, but Woodward's current book documents the stink emanating from the Trump White House.

One of my favorites from the book is Trump tweeting a piece of Russian propaganda which NSC chief H.R. McMaster confirmed was of Russian origin. That information probably got to Trump through Fox News in his morning Fox security brief.

An Executive Order only goes as far as a president is willing to enforce it. In the case of Russian meddling, which we all expect, it is doubtful Donald Trump will do much. In fact, in the last election, Trump attacked both the CIA and FBI, the two agencies capable of investigating possible foreign interference in our election and Trump's business interests in Russia (and assorted criminal enterprises to launder illegal money in the United States through his real estate business), to keep negative stories from appearing in the news media.

Since then, Trump has worked to eliminate some of the top investigators in the DOJ who might be a problem in past business and political activities which he wants to keep secret. Like his desire to stop the Mueller investigation, what better way to "show" his innocence than to keep any investigation from looking into his affairs. You can find a crime when no one is allowed to look.

Trump needs Vladimir Putin more now because the scandal is growing and he needs all the help he can get. The White House has done nothing to prevent future cyber attacks. This Executive Order is meaningless when Trump continues to insist Russian meddling is a hoax.

I just started reading "FEAR" by Bob Woodward. It's absolutely nauseating to begin to discover the ugly sleaze behind American politics and the people who lurk around deep within the political cesspools of power and money.

Foreign intervention in our elections is nothing compared to what is being done to us by people like Steve Bannon, Rudy Guliani, Reince Priebus, Pence, trump and the rest of them.

This book needs to be required reading for all Americans before the next election.

The trouble is, however, that it's certain there is just as much disgusting sludge sloshing around in the other major party.

It's time to completely drain the swamp of ALL incumbents -- to completely overhaul campaign finance laws -- to completely eliminate the power of party insiders and begin again from the foundation up.

    But how?

That's why I am simply heartsick because America has been sold to and hijacked by a few people whose greed and treachery is beyond belief. And the rest of us Americans are nearly powerless.

It's almost impossible to find words for how I feel right now, but at this moment I am absolutely ashamed to call myself an American . . .

The executive order covers not just interference with campaign infrastructure, but it also covers the distribution of disinformation and propaganda, national security adviser John Bolton told reporters.

Soooo will this cover Fox news as a disinformation and propaganda business? Alex Jones? or just foreign agents? Can we hold Trump responsible for his disinformation at his cheer rally's, because he doesn't seem capable of honest speeches?

And as Impartial pointed out, how many Executive Orders are too many, when you control all three branches of government?

    Ummm..excuse me, but...

Didn't CONGRESS already pass such sanctions against Russia [99-1] nearly 2 years ago for this --
and Trump just simply ignored executing that law of the land?

This means Nothing coming from Donald Trump. ZERO!

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice shame of me.

    Trump can't be trusted, period!

Another Executive Order? That should end it. How many elections in how many countries has the US meddled in? A lot. For a long time. The problem now is this is electronic meddling and easier to do and harder to catch. This Executive Order is another Trump sideshow.
