I am in favor of using Wilson against Wisconsin or Hall the athlete we need in there. Doesn't hurt to try at this point. No point in wasting another season languishing with the current QB. Let's get on with training the new QB for the future. Of course as a 45 year fan- what do I know.

“Best conferences don't go 1-8 in bowl season. That's what the worst P5 conference does. And if West Virginia hadn't lost half their team prior their game, it may well have been 0-9.”

When doing some actual research, over the last FIVE seasons, the PAC 12 is in at number #2 of the P5s in the post season. Of course, the SEC is number #1. One really bad year doesn’t mean doom and gloom for the PAC. As that’s all we’ve heard from coug fans. That last year was an “anomaly”...right?

If you want to talk about an embarrassing post season record, take a look at your favorite team. As well as their record vs that “worst P5 Conference”!

    @ Hawk,

Do you think BYU will beat Northern Illinois? That is a dynamic football team with great speed, unlike BYU. I think USU and Hawaii will beat BYU as well.

Keep your chin up dear soul!

    @bemorefair,

Do you truly want to talk about the PAC12? Their overwhelming national sports(NCAA) championships, athletic income, academic rankings, research investment income worldwide, etc........absolutely dwarfs any conference collectively by so far it is just no competition or could be talked about. Do you know that the U of U will make over $1 billion this academic year in research income alone?.......The U hit that mark every year for the last three years in fact.

Try to be fair and accurate.

BYU is fortunate to have Hoge -- hopefully his attitude is infectous.

And gee, utes, thanks for your concern...but don't you have your own offense you should be worried about? Between Huntley and Mangum, I'm not sure who I would take at this point. You're fortunate to have a defense that is allowing you to stay in games. Hey -- sounds familiar....

BYU is 1-1 against 2 PAC12 teams. Utes 2-0 against an FCS school and a mid-MAC school. So who is off to the better start?

    @ BleedCougarBlue,

Do you actually realize that the last good team BYU beat was Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl, barely? That was in the 1996 season....... 22 years ago fine sir. These days, which is a fact, BYU's winning percentage against teams with a winning record at seasons' end is below 25%?

We Utes are doing well, ranked most of the time, play great against top teams, in the last 5 years and feel very fortunate.

I hope you are happy and enjoy your team.

    @ BleedCougarBlue,

We Utes are thrilled that we are in the big time! We get to watch great games in the best conference on this planet = The PAC12.

All the best to you dear soul!

@ Real Ute - Dallas, TX - Sept. 11, 2018 7:53 p.m. - "When is BYU football gonna stop talking and beat a team with a winning record?"

I bet it happens before 'your' team wins the PAC-12 championship. Heck, I bet it happens before your team even wins their division.

They are not going to win this one, but at least they can show that they deserve to compete. If Mangum doesn't play well in the first quarter and Sitake doesn't give him the hook, then the problem is Sitake.

The offensive line did not play with swagger Saturday. The defensive line didn't get the same push as they did against AZ. This is not a hard game to understand. Line play is the reason BYU beat Arizona, and it's the reason they lost to Cal. It is not on Tanner as much as some BYU fans want to believe. Receivers also did not do their job, but it really has to start with the lines.

Unless BYU wants to prove the Vegas oddsmakers right that they don't deserve to be on the same field as Wisconsin, they will have to find some swag by Saturday. Crazy as most think, I do believe BYU can compete with the Badgers. They may not win, but they can make it a game with better line play on both sides of the ball.

The time to show leadership was BEFORE the game with Cal! After is too late!

I feel sorry for Tristen Hoge. Made a poor choice to go to ND and then doubled down transferring to BYU. I guess he will have to make the best of it.

There is one thing they can do........ Start Zac Wilson and get some swag behind center.

The chance of BYU beating Wisconsin is small, but if the players and coaches can say to each other afterwards they did their best, what more can be asked of them? Go Cougars!
