It is my opinion that our own revolutionary war that led to the American nation, was started by American businessmen who took advantage of our location to control and own the wealth produced in the "New World".

Our own civil war was a squabble about who would control the wealth of this nation and so also the smaller wars with the small countries in this hemisphere.

I am joyed and thankful that I live in so powerful a nation that control so much of the worlds pleasure of wealth. I wince to think that some of that joy comes from the poverty and sadness of others.

It's the truth, the sacrifice is seldom for country or fellowman, but often for profit, economic advantage and some times the combo of religion/business. It's sad that so many fall into the patriotic duty with an honest love of country and colleagues , but are used as pawns for corporate profits.

I am confused. The worst dictators of the past century or so were Mao, Stalin, Lenin, and Hitler. They were responsible for killing millions of their own people while establishing their flawed social and economic systems. None of them were wealthy businessmen. Who are the wealthy businessmen you refer to and what wars did they start?
