    @footballfan57:

Yet Huntley gets the second highest ranking for the week from PFF for all PAC 12 QBs. This despite his receivers dropping about 6 passes during the game. Did you see that pin-point 41 yard pass to Dixon btw? Just does not correspond with your game observations.

I think you, along with a lot of other Utah fans, are in knee-jerk reaction mode. I sincerely hope that Moss has breakout games this year like he did last year. Any type of passing game requires a successful running game. Moss is just brutal when he's on. Utah absolutely needs that Moss to be successful this year.

Take a deep breath and see what Utah does against Washington. Utah has played them tough the last couple of years, and I don't see this year as being any different.

VegasUte I am not one of those ute fans that said give the ball to moss on every play.

I think the offence needs to be balanced run and pass. But the pattern for Whit is to choke down the offense once the Pac 12 schedule starts, be very Conservative don't take a negative play, control the clock and hope we can win at the end.

To that point, Hundley throws a pick in the 1st game and against NIU he becomes unable to pull the trigger on pass plays and takes 6 sacks. He looked so afraid to make a mistake he was paralyzed. We see this play out year after year.

All i'm saying is get ready for more of the same

This is one time I find myself agreeing with you. It's far too early in the year for anyone to make definitive statements regarding which teams are better than other teams aside from the head to head matchups we've seen thus far.
Good luck to your Cougs this Saturday.

"Here we go, Whittingham saying we need to give the ball more to Moss, ( read that as) I'm shutting down the offense and going into my usual play not to lose mode. Run, Run, Run ,punt... here we come. UGHH!!"

Ute fans at the beginning of the season: "Huntley just needs to hand the ball off to Moss on every play and we'll win games."

Our fan base is as bi-polar as any I've seen. LOL!

"No percentages on it right now. But I’ll be ready to go for sure." -- Zack Moss

    Translation: He's still injured.

Even at 90%, I'm sure Moss will still be our best option, but at some point, we're gonna need to assess how much game prep will be needed for his backups (Shyne, Green, and Brumfield). They're all capable backs too, and if we game-plan for Moss, and he winds up going down with an exasperated injury, we'd be hurting ourselves if we don't plan to use the other 3 more than usual, and offer them more touches in practice.

    NIU > U of A/CAL

    It’s a toss-up w/WSU.....See last year’s WSU/CAL game & U of A’s Ls to date as evidence of it.

ute's should be number one in those defensive categories with the schedule they've played so far. They'll have to have a lot better offensive numbers this week to hang with the Huskies.

Despite the PC comments from Moss, I’m not buying it. Last year against USC he improved his game significantly and was a beast the rest of the year. Didn’t see much of that the first two games this year.
This kid d is very good all the time but has shown he can be great some of the time. Hope to see him at his best the rest of the year.
