This question is for the Oakland Raiders Brass.
It's up to them to nominate and promote their players to the "Hall".
    Ask them.

How is Charlie Sanders in the HOF and Todd Christensen isn't?

    🤔

Somebody tell Outscored that a sportswriter from a non-NFL city would have more direct influence on HOF selection committee members than a couple of a fans of the former player's college. Outscored ought to know when those fans are being played by pure click-bait.

Perhaps Todd should have declared a "Spartacus moment" at some point.

Might have made him stand out a little more and not be overlooked by some of the sportswriters and the HOF committee.

    🤗

His stats, his play on the field, his numbers, his character. He's done enough to make it in the HOF. And tell johnny it's not the local media in SLC that writes up these articles to push a player along....it's the NFL city where the team resides to do that business. Salt Lake is simply not an NFL city.

Impartial7, we agree with you. He and his family helped many people and are so kind. It was a shock when he passed so young after the surgery. Please put him in the HOF.

"at long last" apparently didn't read the article. Empirical evidence that Christensen WAS good enough and has the stats comparable to other HOF Tight Ends. He won 2 SB rings and was recognized as a Pro Bowler multiple times as well as All-Pro. Short career has not stopped other players from HOF admission thus he should get a chance to be voted on.

Todd was great at football (player & announcer). A wonderful family man. A genuine person. He absolutely deserves being inducted.

Longtime Raiders owner Al Davis didn't do his team any PR favors either. Had no loyalty to the fans who funded his franchise, always a "me first" type personae. Projected himself as an insufferable greedy miserly know-it-all.

    @blue and white;
"Of course BYU haters who commented on this article don’t want any BYU player in the Hall."

I don't hate BYU, I dislike them. However, I'm 100% for his induction to the HoF.

The Raiders are moving Las Vegas which means a media member there who covers the NFL will be on the selection committee. Doug needs to find out who that will be and send his research to him/her. I checked the list of finalist and Todd has never been on it. I wonder if anyone has ever even nominated him.

    blue & white,

And there it is... blame it on "the BYU haters".

Good grief! Give your overdeveloped persecution complex a holiday, please!

He was a great player and a very decent guy. His grandmother was a waitress at a restaurant I used to frequent. He did a lot for the community back before NFL players made big bucks. His stats speak for themselves. Put him in.

Todd is very deserving to be in the Pro football HOF. The numbers speak for them selves. Football needs to change on who decides to be in the Hall. There is enough data for those in the Hall that the numbers can be used to justify entry. Of course BYU haters who commented on this article don’t want any BYU player in the Hall.

    (Just a guess)

Great article. Those numbers don't lie. He should be considered for sure.

How ironic! A media member is whining about Christensen’s not being in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, when that honor is solely in the hands of media members.

Why, Doug? Look in the mirror!

At long last sometimes one should read an article and not just spout out an answer to a headline. Doug Robinson gives well written and compelling data from yards to receptions to Super Bowls to All-Pro stats that meet or exceed those of other Hall of Fame personalities.

One of the very best at his position. Anyone who says he "wasn't good enough" knows nothing about football. He should definitely be in the HOF!

Perhaps he wasn't good enough? Need any other answers Doug, just let me know. . .
