    Remember a couple of weeks ago when the Love camp was going after Ben McAdams over the use of a used school bus? What a difference two weeks makes.

    Questionable ethics Ms. Love. With this and your constant TV ad capitalizing on the Joshua Holt incident has led me to look elsewhere for a candidate to support.

    Notice how it's always OK if the perpetrator is republican.-
    Until it hits a saturation point.
    This is why trump won't finish out his first term-

    @holy moly

    Oh, give me that "Trump tree"!

    So much better than any alternatives that have been presented in the past few years.

    These two statements, one from Chris Stewart's campaign and the other from Love's campaign prove she, or at least her representatives, are being duplicitous.

    "The 'unique facts' of the 2016 matter involving Sen. Lee have not changed," Love's lawyers wrote.

    "Each of these three distinctions (and certainly their combination) place us squarely in the factual scenario faced by the Mike Lee campaign previously allowed by the FEC and materially distinguish our circumstance from what has been reported is faced by the Mia Love campaign presently," Lance Stewart said in an email.

    Mia Love doesn’t stand too far from Mr Trump’s side when she can. She doesn’t fall too far from the Trump tree in so many ways.

    The Congressional Representatives that end up in the Federal Penitentiary system for financial misconduct are numerous. However, they have mainly been male Representatives and Senators.

    Six months of interest on almost $400K is at least a box full of donuts for her campaign.

    "How can anyone vote Republican anymore?"

    You keep asking variations of this question when the answer is always obvious - lack of a viable alternative

    @impartial 7

    ". can anyone vote Republican anymore?".

    Oh, it is so easy! With Mr. Obama out there telling us that unemployment rates are now the same as they were in 2016. Not.

    And isn't he the same person who told us that Hillary Clinton was the "most qualified" person to ever be President? How did that work out?

    I am no big fan of Mia Love but she would still get my vote..

    @no names
    I can't speak for others but I certainly do not hate Mia Love. Focusing on this one issue, her campaign purposely raised funds for a primary that never existed. She won that right at the GOP convention but her campaign then chose to raise funds specifically for a primary, knowing full well there was never going to be one. It appears it was an attempt to add to her campaign war chest during a time when that was in violation of the rules. Not to say Democratic politicians don't do unethical things as well but let's call this what it is, and that is an unethical, deliberate attempt to skirt the campaign law.

    campaign laws are like fifty pounds of spaghetti

    Fact is, campaign finance laws are very complex. Credible federal campaigns that actually do enough fund raising to get their message out, almost always have to hire a lawyer who specializes in such matters.

    The FEC has done its job in asking questions. Mia Love and her campaign are following the law by getting fund legally re-designated for the general election rather than for the primary which didn't happen, returning funds that can't be legally re-designated or that would put any donor over legal limits.

    Want simpler laws? Just eliminate all limits, but require disclosure of where the funds came from. To really do that right, we'd need to figure out how to include the value of free publicity given by the media to their favored candidates.

    It is interesting that the same folks who accused any disagreement with President Obama as being based on racism turn around and attack Mia Love not on any policy disagreement, but on nit picky procedural matters.

    Come on folks. What has Mia actually done that bothers you so much? Or do you just hate having a conservative, black, woman, child of immigrants serving in congress? Does that threaten your Narrative about racism and sexism?

    More proof, if any was needed, that nobody really understands the campaign finance laws. If you look hard enough everyone is guilty of some violation. It's like tax law. If you are audited the IRS will find something wrong with your taxes, no matter how sincerely you tried to do it all correctly.

    " My question is she compensate enough to be in Congress?"

    I know that you meant "competent" . But yes, she's compensated very well, from outside donations, to be in Congress. Now, competent? That is questionable considering the GOP support of the guy in the White House.

    I think if a person is smart enough to make a law they should be smart enough to under stand a law. My question is she compensate enough to be in Congress?

    " Love has a disturbing pattern of ethical lapses."

    They're not lapses, they are plots. Kinda makes you wonder what else she's pocketed when she hasn't been caught.

    This was a serious violation but it seems this has become the norm with Trump's GOP. She got caught, otherwise we'd know nothing about it.

    Good Grief. Giving back part and "redirecting" illegal funds is now GOP policy. That's like robbing a bank for 1 million dollars and then telling the judge that if he goes free, he'll give the bank back 50K. How can anyone vote Republican anymore?

    This is a terribly misleading headline. Love is returning the money due to a campaign law violation. She has been cited as such by the FEC. I realize the D-News leans right, but let’s call a spade a spade. Love has a disturbing pattern of ethical lapses.

    Sorry, Mayor McAdams, but if the FEC allows the "re-designation of funds" than Rep Love did not have a "campaign finance law violation." and this is simply a political stunt the very kind you are complaining about in the shower in your new commercial. Once a politician, always a politician.
