Check the news articles at the time Holt was released. The work was done by Senator Bob Corker's office through background negotiations. Hatch and Love may have tried to take credit for the release, but the work was done by other people and sources. The credit goes to Bob Corker and Caleb McCarry, his aide, for accomplishing this release.

Well, McAdams helped free the homeless from the Rio Grande area. So there!

Mia is in a tight spot. She's part of the GOP, which has become the cult party of Trump, and issues, such as immigration, Trump's attacks on Blacks' taking a knee to protest social injustice, tax cuts for the wealthy, tariffs on crafting goods from China (e.g., fabrics, yarn), Trump's payoffs of porn stars and potential violations of election finance laws, etc., are all too sensitive of an issue to run on politically in Utah.

A story of family being reunited really is just about all she can capitalize upon.

I think it's great if she helped. I just don't see her doing much in her time in office. And her campaign isn't as clean toward her opponent as I'd like to see. There's no need for that. It suggests to me she's not as honorable a person as I had hoped. Time will tell.

To those who say Mia played only a small part in getting Josh and his family back, I say tell that to the Holt family. By their own words, she was the key actor in this long and difficult story and was with them all the way. It's good that she uses this incident as part of her campaign; it shows how much she cares -- in a personal way -- about her constituents.

A multitude of people were involved in freeing him. People should not use this terribe thig that happened to he and his family as a political bite.

Seriously? How much taxpayer dollars did Josh's foolish decisions, against US State Department warnings, did we have to spend? Tally up Congress peoples time, planes, calls, etc. etc. , it was in the tens of millions. I wouldn't be touting that in campaign ads.
