So now the radical right is calling Mia a Democrat? Wow that is mind boggling.
The radical and divisive behavior of the GOP at work.Best thing
would to be to vote a Democrat in, and make my gerrymandered district really
represented by a real progressive. I feel sorry for Mia as she is
in a no win situation with the Trump regime. If she stands up for immigrants
like her own family she will be attacked by the GOP, the radical right and
Trump. If she doesn't, she looks like a hypocrite So let's
make her life easier, and also get rid of the money from Koch Brothers and
extraction industries that funded her campaign and elect Ben Adams. The GOP
has done enough damage to this country. My district now has a chance to have
I'm tired of the 'us and them' game of politics. With two
dominant parties, it seems everything is either/or and if you compromise and
negotiate, you're called weak, even though it may be better for the people.
I wonder if there were more competing political parties in the mix, we might
have broader ideas and representation because minor parties could join forces
and gather enough votes to force out the two dominant parties or at least show
them where the country's true values and hopes lie so they realize
they're taking the wrong, self-serving. power-driven road.
District Judge Laura Scott ruled that Mountain Accord broke both Utah's
Open Meetings Laws (OPMA), and Open Records Laws (GRAMA).Ben McAdams
ran the Mountain Accord which spent $8 million mostly of tax payer monies to
lobby for Public Land Trade for 4 rich ski resorts when they can handily lobby
for themselves.Ben McAdams is a lawyer and long time gov't
employee. He knew or should have known he was breaking the law. These are facts drawn by an impartial court as to the conduct of Mountain
Accord run by Ben McAdams. Career politicians do not make good
For all intents and purposes Mia Love is a democrat.I'm curious
WHY the demos. want to elect McAdams?Just because she ran for
election as Republican, virtually every vote she's ever taken has been as
"democrat", or as "moderate" as she dared.
@imsmarterthanyou, there was a time that I would have agreed with you that
"A do nothing Republican is better than ANY Democrat" but not
anymore. Why you may ask? The reason is simple:Democrats
may raise taxes, but they will also cut spending to reduce debt. They are more
keen to raise taxes on those making more than $250K yearly and lowering it for
the working poor.Republicans may lower taxes, but they also increase
spending. They increase military spending when military leaders say it
isn't needed. They won't cut spending for fear of losing votes.
Where they do cut it, they only do it because they know it won't pass the
Senate (S.N.A.P.) because they would then be branded as being against working
mothers and hating children. As has been shown, they are the true party of
raising deficits. The only way to bring down deficits is to put
Democrats in power to raise some taxes, cut spending (especially on unneeded
military items), lower the annual debt and institute some reforms to medicare
such as regarding prescription drugs that Republicans have been blocking for
more than 20 years that would lower costs and save Billions $$.
I'm not the biggest fan of Mia Love. She has the appearance of doing
nothing except trying give amnesty to all the illegal criminals from all points
south. I would fight against her on that. However, I voted for her and probably
will again unless a better republican runs against her in a primary. A do
nothing republican is better than ANY democrat.
