Now, if the doctor has to ask questions that a parent should be handling, he'd better ask about video games usage.

Why do we continue to place the burden of raising our children on outside entities?

If a parent is responsible enough to get their kid to the Dr for their yearly check up, I'm pretty sure they are capable of managing all these areas of intrusion. I don't like that they push stuff on us at an appointment where I just want to be sure that they are growing well and staying Physically healthy. I know social media is a problem.... let's educate parents, not indoctrinate children (same goes for everything at school). Parents should be having open conversations with their children about the use of computers, internet, social media, phones, gaming platforms, etc from a young age (I've often used the term "THE Talk"... because internet porn and online safety is the new "sex talk"), that way when they come across something they feel unsure about or are put in a situation with friends... they will come to us for help, because they know it's safe.
