This story should end with "and he never saw the light of day again".
The laws of the land should apply to ALL citizens, regardless of age, but when
the JV courts were set up to alleviate the work load of our justice courts, some
how the "law" changed to give younger perpetrators special
considerations, in order to help them "straighten out". The fact of the
matter is that no one, even teens, should get preferential treatment in the case
of capital crimes they commit. This is just my opinion, and this comment likely
will not get posted, but it is time that this discussion actually took place.
This guy knew exactly what he was doing. He did not do this as a childish whim.
Try him as an adult, and name him publicly. This was not a juvenile crime.
Our society has holes in it that somehow this 16-year-old had fallen to this
extreme low point. We need stronger tools to intervene and redirect people.
I hope this punk has a long time to think about his crime while in prison.
This boy committed and attempted to committed big boy acts. He should be named.
Sorry you deviant juvenile but you need to take a break in Prison for a long
Obviously this juvenile is not able to function on his own. He needs to be
locked up where he can't harm anyone else. I am amazed that the victim
survived, and I hope she has recovered as much as can be expected after such a
horrible experience. What a very sad way for two people to be damaged by the act
of one of them.
Glad this is going to trial, as the victim deserves justice. please, NO plea
deals; irresponsible actions need to bring consequences and this account is
chilling in how she was treated. A fair trial is needed and then if guilt is
determined, judgment should be rendered.
