Too cool. I loved Jeff Kent. I heard him speak at a fireside 20 years ago and it
was one of the best talks I've ever heard. I had no idea what he was doing
after baseball or that his kids went to BYU. I remember the whole Barry Bonds
saga. Too bad they didn't win in 2002. Still one of my favorite players all

I had never heard of Jeff Kent until I read this article.
I loved watching Jeff Kent during my teenage years as a Giants fan in the SF Bay
Area. That game 7 loss was heartbreaking and even the three World Series the
Giants won after that don’t make up for it because I became disengaged as
a fan prior to those happening. 1993 and 1994 were also heartbreaking years as a
Giants fan. But when Jeff came around the tide started to shift. Glad to root
for a fellow Latter-day Saint.
