Kent should be in the Hall of Fame.

    Great article! Very inspirational!
Nice to hear about a highly successful LDS athlete and his family. Will look forward to Colton’s career as a BYU Cougar and the continued success of Jeff Kent’s sports businesses.

Too cool. I loved Jeff Kent. I heard him speak at a fireside 20 years ago and it was one of the best talks I've ever heard. I had no idea what he was doing after baseball or that his kids went to BYU. I remember the whole Barry Bonds saga. Too bad they didn't win in 2002. Still one of my favorite players all time.

Thidder—Jeff Kent is a guy who, in the midst of the steroid scandal years, was one of those who apparently played clean and still hit 377 hrs as a 2nd baseman. If you truly had never heard of this guy before you read the article, welcome to MLB 101–todays lesson is “2nd Basemen who hit over 300 hrs”.

I loved watching Jeff Kent during my teenage years as a Giants fan in the SF Bay Area. That game 7 loss was heartbreaking and even the three World Series the Giants won after that don’t make up for it because I became disengaged as a fan prior to those happening. 1993 and 1994 were also heartbreaking years as a Giants fan. But when Jeff came around the tide started to shift. Glad to root for a fellow Latter-day Saint.
