The homeless are like pigeons, you feed them and more come.

Salt Lake City has had a welcome sign out for decades by providing homeless shelters, and if you build it, they will come and come and more will come. Now the problem is spreading and threatening the safety of tax paying citizens.

You cannot eliminate the homeless problem by providing them with taxpayer provided services.

Inpartial7 - Certainly Hughes initiated the entire mess. Bad on him; but you cannot deny that McAdams played a significant role in the dispersal of the homeless throughout the county, while throwing millions of your tax dollars at the issue.

" Spurred by a growing number of makeshift campsites cropping up along the Jordan River, South Jordan has adopted its first anti-camping law."

Gee- I wonder why they cropped up? Perhaps it's because developer/speaker Hughes cleaned up up the Rio Grande area for his development partners. With no back up plan or no concern where all the homeless went.
And to "atlonglast", you can read all about how it really went down, in both the D-News and the Trib. You can't blame this mess on McAdams. Or Obama and Hillary.

You can thank McAdams for this. Spread the homeless all over the county.
