    Like Congress.

    Teachers should be able to vote themselves a raise.

    When you don’t get raises for decades, don’t complain when they demand a 20 percent increase in salary. If they had been receiving regular raises, you wouldn’t be hit with such a large one.

    Supply and demand! There’s a large teacher shortage. Time for them to get paid.

    No, the free loaders have gone too far. This nonsense that we are overtaxed is just that, nonsense. Taxes in this country are the lowest they have been since WW2. I am sick of people who claim to be patriots constantly whining about paying taxes. Why are we running a huge deficit? Because we have become a nation of free loaders who want to live in the best country on Earth but dont think they should have to pay for the privilege. I have no children, but it is obvious to me that we need to invest in our future. Teachers do not get the respect they so richly deserve. Paying them a living wage is the least we can do for them.

    The teachers are going too far. They got a 20% pay increase. 20%, over the next two and a half years, that's massive. But they still want to strike? Now they are only going to hurt themselves.

    And our teachers had better not get any ideas.

    @worf

    "Time to stop this foolishness and fire all of these teachers."

    Yeah hiring a new faculty at competitive wages will definitely not cost way more...

    Time to stop this foolishness and fire all of these teachers.

    American citizens are already paying too much taxes for schools.

    Let parents feed their own children and pay for school bus rides.
