I would gladly pay two or three dollars to have a vote by mail service rather than having to vote in person.

I'm glad I live in Salt Lake County. When I get my ballot in the mail I have time to look up all the candidates and issues in categories I haven't paid as much attention to (like judges and state auditors). I feel I am able to make a much more informed vote because I can check each candidate's web page to see where they stand on issues and check out other resources (like the recommendations from the Utah Judicial Performance Evaluation Commission) before voting. Of course if one is in a hurry or hasn't had time to really look at all candidates it is much easier to simply vote "R" and go on your way.

    Well, yeah!

After all, some of those horrible Democrats might want to vote by mail. This will help ensure that only the really, really faithful good repubs will vote.

Standing in line at polling places is so 20th Century. Utah County elections are going in reverse, while everyone else is going forward. Why am I not surprised?
