I hope other readers will join me in voting AGAINST the current legislator in their district when the next election cycle rolls around.

I usually vote Republican, but I feel like for at least the last 6 yrs., the legislature has become way too arrogant with their responsibilities. They have actually been correct in their assumption that NO MATTER what they do - they'll be voted back into office!

That's a sad state of affairs. They really do take advantage of our complacency.

Please - convince your neighbors to vote for ANYONE but the incumbent!!

These fees are taxes. They sure seem to love them.

Oh my, politicians raising taxes once again. Why does the government not use the 500+ million in surplus tax collections? Why can they not live within their means? Why is the only solution to anything, to raise taxes? Republicans are as bad as Democrats in raising taxes. They never saw a tax they didn't love.

Keep vehicle registration fees at $44, then index them for inflation each year. A massive 60%+ increase in fees is just insane. My paycheck didn't go up over 60%. Why should my taxes?!

It seems apparent that most, if not all legislators, have never used UTA. A person needs to insure they correct change to bus. They have to hope that the place they visit is close toar to accomplish errands in a ew hours instead of using the UTA which will take all day and still not allow me to travel to all of my necessary destinations. Not every stop is near to where someone wishes to go. a UTA line. It is near to impossible to accomplish multiple errands on the same day using UTA. Have any of the UTA supporters ever attempted to go grocery shopping and bring their purchases home while using UTA. Imagine having to walk several blocks while attempting to take your purchases home. And the difficulty of insuring that you are even able to connect with the bus with their schedule and your schedule is nearly impossible. Enough with raising my auto registration fees to pay for something that is a major invonvenience and impossible to use in a practical manner. I can use my c

Oh look another tax increase hidden as a fee increase. Dear state legislature. You are nickel and diming me to death with your fee increases here and tax increases there. The Feds give us a tax cut, we have a booming economy with a $500 million surplus and yet you just have to tax us more?

Enough! What happened to the fiscal conservatism Republicans supposedly stand for. UTA doesn't get another red cent until the new management team can prove they've got their house in order.

We will forever subsidize the UTA, the voters knew it all along, But politicians love public transportation! And it must be paid for someway. Do you think those that ride will be able to cover the costs?

That being said, our state is well run fiscally; although we spend, we tax to cover it.

So. The Utah GOP run UTA gets 2 Billion dollars in debt, and they double the cost to register our vehicles to pay for their mismanagement? Fiscal conservatives? Remember this huge tax increase on election day.

Yet we keep sending the same people back to raise our taxes again.

A $500 mission surplus and if still isn’t enough to keep our legislature from trying to raise taxes. There’s plenty of money coming into the coffers. Please lower taxes. Not raise them. Allow citizens to keep more of the money they earned.

Our legislators are obviously tone deaf. No new taxes. Repeat that 50 times before you vote.
