"Bramble, the sponsor of the controversial 2014 law known as SB54 that created an alternative path to the ballot by gathering voter signatures, said that law never anticipated a party would intentionally do something disqualifying its status."

When Sen. Bramble says, the "law never anticipated," he means that HE never anticipated. No member of our Utah State Legislature is more myopic than Sen. Bramble.

A word to the wise among Sen. Bramble's constituents: This is what happens when you elect accountants to enact laws. Accountants are people who scrutinize the past. They are not known for their foresight.

What is wrong with Republican insiders? They are so power hungry and want to control the entire process, a la Putin, that they undermine American democracy. Republicans in Utah are too arrogant. They need to lose a few elections to feel a little humility and not take the voters for granted. I suppose, though, this is on Utah voters who vote Republican just because.... It only harms the people.

Can't blame this mess on liberals. This is wholly owned and operated by Utah Republicans.
