The Parents Television Council is a religious censorship group. They are an organized group dedicated to censoring TV. They are responsible for the majority of FCC complaints, annually. They are pre-complaining about an incident that happened 14 years ago. Over a two second accidental nipple slip. Guess what parents? Your kids have seen a nipple plenty of times. It's what fed them for months.

Is PTC asking Kid Rock not to repeat his 2004 Super Bowl American-flag-as-poncho desecration?

Agreed with Hutterite that pre-emptive offense is a yawner. PTC is free to express their concerns. Timberlake is free to accept or ignore them. Not sure any of it is newsworthy.

The 04 show broke laws. The two people involved should have been fined and prosecuted along with any one else who may have been involved. I find it extremely dis-tasteful that the NFL would bring back either of them ever.

Being offended then, and pre offended now, does not mean the 04 show was either unfriendly, nor unsafe.
No one died from it. It was a bad show, and neither of them on stage at the time are of any particular talent.
But get over it. Most of us were either gathering food or recycling beer at the time.
This years' halftime show will probably not be that good. We'll all be gathering up more cheese dip and deep fried mushroom caps.
    Not THAT'S unsafe.
