Well, Skeptic, since this article WAS in the "Faith" Section, it's bound to be about "Faith".
You are stretching a bit here...why not just enjoy the human interest story.
(And beside, the Patriots LOST! LOL!)

A heck of a football player and an even better man. Good luck to all the ex-utah collegians in the big game.

    @Vegas Ute

    Let it go man.
So a few players from BYU took some cheap shots here and there, out of tens of thousands of plays.
    Get over it already.
Ute players are just as nasty...It's football.
In fact, Utah leads the Nation (Top Ten) in personal fouls and has more players ejected than BYU ever does.

so being a Mormon, how will this distinguish his presents and performance on the field. What religion are the other players, and is their religion less meaningful, and what about those players of no faith, will bad things happen to them. Should the fans cheer for the players based on their religion. Perhaps, they should wear a religious insignia on their uniform like in the days of the Crusaders.

Way to go Trevor. The best of luck in the Superbowl and beyond. Especially in family and spiritual matters. From an avid BYU fan.

Trevor Reilly is a PHENOMENAL human being. I know him personally. I can tell you he is the real deal. He is a humble, smart and spiritual MAN that the rest of the league to learn a few things from. You're only seeing the beginning of this 30 year old. His real mark will be made after Football.

@ VegasUte - Las Vegas, NV - Jan. 30, 2018 11:33 a.m. - "@65TossPowerTrap: Perhaps if byu players tackled more football players instead of looking for cheap shots - they would actually be on an NFL team, practice squad or not."

What's the matter? Can't take a little teasing?

If 65tosspowertrap had actually played the game on a higher level, he would understand that the more you play, the better chance you have of making bad and good plays. Looking at all the players and hope to be players, it's a great thing to even make a pro practice squad. Great to see a pro player that's still a family man.

All else pales in comparison ,

"his second daughter Shayn, then only 9 months old, had kidney cancer. Doctors removed the kidney and the child endured chemotherapy. She is now 100 percent healthy and doing well, Reilly said."

Good to know Trevor is on the winning Patriots team and getting paid to sit in a front row seat! You can't beat that combination on Super Bowl Sunday, right Trevor?

One more note. Both teams going to the Super Bowl honored our veterans, our flag and our nation by standing for our national anthem - All season long.
    Karma.

Perhaps if Reilly tackled more football players and less referees - he wouldn't be a serial practice player.

I will always remember Reilly walking onto the filed on senior day with his daughter on his shoulders. An awesome moment for sure.

    Way to go Trevor!

    Go Utes!
